A good discovery

We had often walked past this place but never tried it until friends who are regulars, suggested we go there for lunch on a chilly day as part of a planning meeting. It is another find to add to the limited repertoire of the few places we can be bothered with in Whangarei. Choice of menu is good... read more

I get the impression most of Serenity's customers are regulars, and that speaks for itself. The food : Scrumptious ! And Serenity's Eggs Benedict is out of this world ! Value : Very competitive. $4.50 for a largeish Cappuccino is pretty good and the coffee is superb. Service : Angela and her staff are smiley, friendly, efficient and helpful. 10/10... More

This restaurant is one of the most widely used and busy small restaurants in the Whangarei area, one I use regularly. At times in the past, food has been adequate rather than excellent; this has changed over the last couple of years and vastly improved. Timing is everything, if you go at peak lunch time then expect to have to wait... More

We have a company breakfast here most months and the service is efficient, the meals are hot and inviting and the ambience is great. It's always a delight to dine here. Highly recommended!

While staying in Whangarei to visit relatives we came here quite a lot. Occasionally for breakfast, several coffees and the odd lunch. It is in an excellent situation opposite the clock museum, the service is acceptable though never what might be called fast. The bacon sandwiches were almost as good as home-made. Worth a visit. Our 2 grandchildren loved the... More

I have been going on and off over the years to this gem of a cafe. It never fails to please with friendly staff and great food. At times on a winters day I have been lucky enough to get the Kidneys. As good as my grandmother made. Lots of parking and afterwards its a nice stroll around the waterfront.
