We have indoor booth seating as well as tables for couples and tables for four. If you are a big family don't be shy to ask our friendly staff to join tables, we are more than happy to do that for you. Outside are more tables and seating with umbrellas for shade. A view of our Clock museum with flowers surrounding a huge sundial gives plenty to entertain visually while enjoying your meal. Tour buses regularly arrive not far from our doorstep with lots of parking and a big play area for children just around the corner. Feedback is essential for constant improvement which we welcome gladly. We hope you enjoy your meal, From all the staff at Serenity Cafe :)

Best quay cafe for breakfast

It's where the locals eat as well as tourists. So great recommendation. Love the Hapuka smoked fish on toast or eggs benedict. Good size meals. Great value for money. Can't go wrong.

Having visited a few times now, I have been somewhat disappointed. The food is good but very basic. As such it is not deserving of the, higher than average, prices. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The service is good unless it is busy, at which point the system in place doesn't seem to work very well, leading to... More

Regularly go to Serenity. Great cafe, nice food, cabinet and menu options. Can be very busy most weekends and struggle to get a table because of its good reputation and regular local customers. Dog friendly.

If you want good honest food then go here. Best pies! Salmon scramble eggs, scones. Not the best coffee. But good all round food. Good efficient staff.

Had a really nice breakfast here, sat inside as 13 of us but also quite a few tables & chairs outside. You have to order at the counter & table service, which can be a little slow when they are busy. Nothing fancy but good value for money

Breakfast at Serenity. Fast friendly service. Nice choice of seating, inside or out weather permitting. My husband and I ordered Eggs Benedict. Came to the table quickly and the food was hot (even the eggs were still hot). The hollaindase sauce was fresh and very tasty.Coffee was strong and hot with a nice thick foamy top to it. Waitress was... More

This has a great location but, like most cafes in Whangarei, the food is not high quality. The mushrooms on toast were swimming in cream and short on mushrooms, and the waitress was not at all happy when i grumbled that I had been short changed compared to the chap on the next table. The meusli is modest at best.

A medium range cafe at a lovely location. The food is tasty but not anything fancy. Portion size is good value for money.

Very quick service and a variety of mouth watering lunch time snacks and more, with great generous servings of salads and chips. Plenty of parking nearby and a lovely area to walk about before and after lunch make it a great place to take mates for a good valued meal out.
