We have indoor booth seating as well as tables for couples and tables for four. If you are a big family don't be shy to ask our friendly staff to join tables, we are more than happy to do that for you. Outside are more tables and seating with umbrellas for shade. A view of our Clock museum with flowers surrounding a huge sundial gives plenty to entertain visually while enjoying your meal. Tour buses regularly arrive not far from our doorstep with lots of parking and a big play area for children just around the corner. Feedback is essential for constant improvement which we welcome gladly. We hope you enjoy your meal, From all the staff at Serenity Cafe :)

I have been going on and off over the years to this gem of a cafe. It never fails to please with friendly staff and great food. At times on a winters day I have been lucky enough to get the Kidneys. As good as my grandmother made. Lots of parking and afterwards its a nice stroll around the waterfront.

Very impressed with this cafe. Very good breakfasts and really pretty cheap when considering other cafes in the town basin in Whangarei. Fast efficient service. Be careful of the seagulls - a gentleman next to us left his muffin and coffee to fetch a newspaper and they were in like a shot - luckily I must look like a scarecrow... More

We stopped by at Whangarei and asked the visitor's centre where we could get a decent coffee. She pointed us towards Serenity. The coffee wasn't particularly good, we also had the hot chocolate which wasn't particularly nice either. Probably wouldn't stop here again

Had brunch here. It is down by the harbor basin. Good parking nearby. From the outside it looked a bit trendy. Inside 'no problem'. Prompt and friendly service. I had an excellent pie ( they came recommended ) and a long black coffee all at a good price.

I was pleasantly surprised with Serenity, mu husband dragged me and I wasn't very optimistic. Although the restaurant is very clean, it lacks atmosphere due to the shape of the restaurant (very hard to make it warm when its rectangular). They have done a very good job with décor lifting the aesthetics but the menu board needs a tidy up.... More
