We had breakfast at Parnells on a Sunday morning based on a recommendation from Aotea Motor Lodge and weren't disappointed. We were in early so the service was quick and friendly. Good food (the cornbread was delicious) and well made coffee made this a great start to the day. Just keep an eye out for the little, brown finches that... More

My daughter and I went for a coffee and ended up having brunch on Sunday 12 October. Parnell's was busy and the service was excellent. The best Eggs Benedict I ever had. I will definitely go again!

I come here for a coffee and a slice often with friends. Service is ok but cold be more engaging and friendly. I like that every day they have a specific coffee and snack deal I go on wednesdays and get the coffee and slice for $6.50 which works out to save a lot. I like the chocoblok slice the... More

Have been here a few times and it never quite stacks up. The food is quite expensive for some very average offerings. The coffee is ok but not consistent and for such an average place there is always a wait before your order is taken. The tables are very close which can be quite uncomfortable as well.

The food and service is fantastic. Decor is beautiful especially the selection of art around the cafe. Only thing stoping this place from getting an excellent rating is the coffee. The barista needs to touch up their coffee making skills, but the coffee was still good. Looking forward to my next visit.

We ate here on a cold Sunday morning. The cabinet food looked amazing, but we wanted something more breakfasty and light. The blackboard menu obliged. I had really good fresh fruit salad with yoghurt and also a side of (rye?) toast. Great Mojo coffee and cute little caramel lolly on the side. The food was all of a very high... More

Called in to grab take away coffees as leaving Wanganui. Was the best coffee I had while staying in Wanganui. Looked clean and bright. Service was efficient and friendly.

A lovely cafe, just far enough up Victoria Ave to be out of the main shopping area, parking easy, food amazing, atmosphere lovely, staff very accommodating. Great place :)

I was in Wanganui on business for a week so was really relying on this site to help me avoid the pitfalls of dining away. I had read all these good reviews regarding Parnell’s and convinced my work colleague to have lunch there. It is the place to go I told him! The menu looked like your average cafe food,... More

Lovely decor, plenty of seating areas to choose from, indoors, outdoors, window bar, couch by the fire. Plenty to browse at while you wait as there is also a gallery area....And wait...there was a long line at the counter for orders...it did give you time to fully take in the mouth watering array of sweet and savoury delights in the...
