A lovely cafe, just far enough up Victoria Ave to be out of the main shopping area, parking easy, food amazing, atmosphere lovely, staff very accommodating. Great place :)

I was in Wanganui on business for a week so was really relying on this site to help me avoid the pitfalls of dining away. I had read all these good reviews regarding Parnell’s and convinced my work colleague to have lunch there. It is the place to go I told him! The menu looked like your average cafe food,... More

Lovely decor, plenty of seating areas to choose from, indoors, outdoors, window bar, couch by the fire. Plenty to browse at while you wait as there is also a gallery area....And wait...there was a long line at the counter for orders...it did give you time to fully take in the mouth watering array of sweet and savoury delights in the... I have been to this café a few times and they have always been slow with service but the food is normally fine. Today dirty tables 20 minute wait for coffee and 30 minute wait for cooked breakfast which was only warm. One person on the coffee machine doing coffee, milk shakes and serving ice cream no matter how busy... More

Beautiful food and great coffee. Pleasant & clean decor with option of inside or outside. Fantastic crafts/art available to browse & purchase as well. Definitely one of my favourite cafes.

My husband & I have eaten from the cabinet many times, and have always enjoyed the food. Good range of herbal teas (Green Gunpowder included) and the Gelato selection is very popular with Collegiate school students. Art works on the walls all for sale - there are some quirky plaques around, and the gallery at the back of the property... More

My partner and I have often had a good coffee here and like the selection of both savoury and sweet items in the cabinet - all really home made. Only occasionally eaten from the menu - slightly dearer than other local cafes with similar choices. Cafe can be noisy when full due to concrete floors but offers various places to... More

The eggs benedict was just average like almost every other café in Wanganui who serves a rather plain eggs bene. The gluten free toast was the only gluten free option although I would like to see more inspiration such as potato cakes or kumara rosties as gluten free options rather than having to pay extra for hashbrowns. Gluten free customers... More

Went for brunch with a friend. lovely meal but we didn't enjoy the sparrows flying around inside and being so close to the food. Perhaps screen doors may help? Probably won't go back for this reason.

Called in to Parnell's when passing through Wanganui. A great selection of food in the cabinet. It all looked so delicious it was hard to choose. We ended up eating there and then buying more to take with us to our motel in New Plymouth. We enjoyed the food so much we called in again on our way home the... More
