A warm ambient authentic italian style restaurant, perfect for dining with a group or just the two of you. We have a table outside during the warmer months for takeaway diners, and a nice takeaway waiting area. Located in the middle of town, there is plenty of parking. We are licenced and allow BYO as well. Buon appetito!!

Best pizza I had in New Zealand so far.

I have been in New Zealand for 2 years now and have traveled many places and most places can't get thin crust pizza right. Di Lucas's Margherita pizza was lovely. I would happily eat this pizza every time I wanted pizza. Also the spaghetti bolognase was yummy too. Not too sweet and not... read more

We came in late and ordered and the owner was very helpful and even kept the place open for a little bit longer for us to finish the amazing pasta dishes we ordered.

The place is nice, with an art expo. And the owner takes good care of you. But It's not enough ! The pizzas are really bad. Thick and not home-made base, not fresh ingredients. It's hard to pay 20$ for it ! And it was hard all night long for our stomacs.

A family friendly pizzeria with a menu that has something for everyone including kids, gluten free and vegetarian options. We all enjoyed our pizza after a friendly welcome and service. The art work on the walls is lovely and we got to meet the artist. Just great.

Me and my boyfriend visited Di Luca's on a Tuesday night and really enjoyed the whole experience. We ordered the ciabatta and dips to start with which were delicious and just right for a starter. The ciabatta was cut up into bite sized pieces and drizzled perfectly with oil. The two dips were a soft cheese and a crushed olive... More

This is a great place for a quick, and easy meal at a reasonable price. The host guy is a real asset to the place and is very attentive. We are fussy basterds and ordered sauces on the side, unusual coffees, half portions and were generally customers from hell on a busy night but the host guy came up with... More

If you want friendly atmosphere a touch of being part of the family great food then it's Di Lucas. A good mixture of New Zealand family hospitality with professional service and well cooked food. Having travelled around for many years it is always a pleasure to find a eatery that is friendly without being over the top locally informative if... More

The owner greets everyone as they enter, making for a relaxed 'vibe' start to the evening. We ordered pizza, which was of a very reasonable standard, but when we had the pasta, it was quite a different story! It was soggy and the sauce tasted as if it came from a jar. Such a let down. The wine list is... More

Not a fan of pasta or pizza so I ordered a delicious 'Italian Style Caesar salad with seafood for added protein. Accompanied by red wine and followed by the lightest tiramisu with equally light ice cream. Perfect in my view. Di Luca's has become a favourite spot with its warm atmosphere and gracious host.
