We have been here several times, having stayed in Te Puru on a couple of occasions. Staff a lovely, down to earth people (probably mostly casuals); the food is great (particularly if you are into Brunch stuff) and the coffee is reliably good - a real bonus for coffee officionados. Plenty of choice for both sweet toothed and savoury preferences.

Occupying a beautiful spot across the road from Waiomu beach reserve, this cafe is deceptively big. It has glorious views and delicious food to match. The queues were long on the day we went, but the staff were really friendly and cheerful. Lots of cabinet choices (the Louise Cake was divine) as well as a blackboard menu. Drinks were not... More

Only cafe between Thames and coromandel. Lots of sweet things to choose , not much savoury. We could have had a meal but we didn't need that. Drinks took 10 mins at least to come, and tables not wiped and cleared til we asked. Staff could do with some training. They came with food and went back empty handed when... More

This cafe is magic. The service is always friendly and the food amazingly fresh. With views across the road to the water and the reserve to run around in once you've eaten...perfect

Stopped in on the way up the Coromandel Peninsula. Lovely morning, needed a good breakfast. And we got one. The ladies were wonderful, the coffee was fine, and the breakfast was just right. Will be stopping again next time I am in that area.

We stopped there for breakfast after doing the K2 bike race. The presentation and quality of food on display was fantastic and our breakfast's were so yummy and such great value. The service and friendliness could not be faulted. Supreme coffee was made beautifully. Overall a top cafe.

The perfect cafe to eat on a sunny day.....but also very popular so even tho they have heaps of staff can sometimes be abit of a wait. A good range of home cooked food we were a party of 6 and all had different meals which did come at different times but overall everyone was happy. My daughter had a... More

This cafe is across the road from a great swimming beach and children s playground. They make their own food. I've had the muffins and they truly are delicious. Oh, and you really should try the licorice ice cream. ... YUM, YUM. The staff are very friendly- a good group to meet and greet tourists to our Peninsular. There's some... More

My husband and I go to the Waiomu Beach Café for an early breakfast after dropping off our dog for a groom. We have an hour to wait so breakfast is a good idea. We love this café. The food is always very good and the staff lovely and friendly. Highly recommend it.
