We took friends to this restaurant a little while back. One of the friends is very hard of hearing and finds it difficult to hear if surrounded by people. I rang and asked if it were possible for a table near the back next to the wall so he wasn't surrounded. The restaurant were so obliging and... read more

The poppadums were those small ones you get from non-Asian supermarkets and no chutney or pickles. My so called rather red Chicken Tikka arrived on shredded white cabbage and was chicken thigh marinated in something that tasted of Chinese five spice and no sign of yogurt or chicken breast or even any spices I would expect on chicken tikka. The... More

Ate here in April 2014 and had a steak and a fish chowder. Both dishes were really tasty and good value for money. The only thing lacking was a little atmosphere, but this was mainly due to eating very early and being end-of-season.

My family and I went here for the second time tonight, our first experience wasn't the best but we thought we would try it out again. The first time we went there the smell in the restaurant was foul. Like they hadn't cleaned the toilet. This time we paid $33 per main and it was the smallest main any of... More

While driving up The Coromandel we were looking for somewhere to eat and Bullion seemed to be the only place open. The appearance is confusing because it seems to have one foot in the posh camp and one foot in casual dining. The menu and the food cleared things up quickly though, the food was amazing!!! So delicious! We loved... More

We had a fab meal - meat, fish, vegetarian, French wine, we tried it all. Very flexible kitchen that adjusted some of the dishes to our dietary requirements. Service impeccable. What a brilliant place.

We visited this restaurant in the evening. We order lamb and beef. Food was good but not exceptional. Service was slightly better than average in New Zeland. We found Bulion slightly overpriced but I must say we had visited several restaurant only in Auckland and in Rotorua.

I booked dinner for 14 March for 2 people after researching the menus of the local restaurants and as we only eat a main, this restaurant showed some very nice main dishes. When we were seated, at 7.30pm there was a piece of A4 paper on the table showing a Set Menu with options of 3 starters, 3 mains and... More
