Arrived about 11 am and the place was quite busy then we quickly found a table and we were given some water and they had taken our order within 5 minutes. We ordered crispy spring onion potato cake with salmon and all the trimmings and french toast. Both were absolutely beautiful and presentation was amazing. After the meal we had a... More

Have never been disappointed by this cafe for its entire existence( I think about 15 years).High quality casual meals and more formal cuisine.Nice range on menu and fast service .Good standard of wines as well. Can be noisy if full up.

Mrs and I went there for lunch today. We were both impressed with the service and the food. They were quite busy but we had no excessive delays. A very good choice of food, from brunch stye to mains .. if you look at their on-line menu check out the portabello mushrooms and the salmon, which is what we had.... More

Great food, I had the pork belly and my partner had the beef fillet. Decent size and great service. Would definitely go back. Cheers

The Elm's appeal is instant with a cute courtyard and lovely outdoor dining area. You need to sit in a shaded spot to avoid sunburn at lunch time! I had a lovely lunch and a glass of wine, both reasonably priced. I would have happily eaten everything on the menu! I'll go back to try dinner on my next visit... More

We went for a lunch on Saturday, the place was about half full, but the noise was shocking, the acoustics shocking, and when mentioned the waitress acknowledged that she had trouble hearing, but that they had tried to reduce the noise by carpeting the walls to sort of chest height. Five for a lunch meal the servings were average. three... More

Came to restaurant on recommendation of trip advisor and friends. For valentines day they're no effort at all. This should have been advertised as a place for dinner not to celebrate valentines. Pathetic effort actually no effort at all. Food was ok but ambience meant that didn't matter. Would never come here again!

We went to Elm Cafe on the recommendation of our motel. We are fussy Aucklanders in PN on business and were blown away by our meal - the steak and the pork belly. Both amazing. We went back for breakfast - great omelette and fantastic kedgeree. Then a pattern began - we had breakfast and dinner at Elm for our... More
