This Indian restaurant is presented well and has a feeling of quality about it, with open fires and good furniture etc. The food is lovely and we had great service too, with nice wine and beer served well. No the cheapest Indian meal we have ever had, but very enjoyable and authentic. The experience is enhanced by being able to... More

It was bang next to my Apartment so it was convenient to stroll in for a meal or two with the family. Food was good but what I would suggest is to try to preserve the authentic Indian spicy taste to some dishes at least.

I think an Indian restaurant is judged on their naan breads and curries. Both were well cooked and had great flavours. The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant itself had a nice relaxing vibe to it. Would recommend to anyone.

To be fair, you don't come to Margaret River necessarily for an Indian restaurant! But if you are down here and hankering for Indian food you can certainly do worse. It isn't overly memorable but is better than the other Indian restaurant in town in my opinion. Note it isn't called Maharaja despite having the Maharaja menu. Its called Taj... More

Onion Bhajis are to die for and prices were reasonable too. The "mild" curries are very mild so go for the spicier options unless you really hate spices.

Service was below average, food was awful, it was obviously not cooked from scratch. The samosa was defiantly cooked from frozen, and the chicken tikka masala was the worst I have ever had. Give this place a wide berth, will not be returning.

Dined this evening and food tasted the least authentic Indian I have ever eaten. Samosas were small, triangular parcels made with FILO pastry. Tasted suspiciously frozen. Main course was Chicken Korma and unfortunately it had not been simmering all day on low heat filling the kitchen with a wonderful aroma. Clearly it was chicken fillet chopped and then flavoured with... More

Great service - they stayed open to serve us late - very much appreciated. The food was good - good range of vegetarian dishes. The chicken was spicy - but delicious. Only downside was that you had to pay extra for pickles to go with the Poppadums. Still recommend it though for style and service.
