Good beers but..

When we arrived we didn't get welcomed, we got told the kitchen is closed. This was said in a just don't bother kind of tone. It was also like 3 on a Saturday which is a bit surprising for a tourist region. The beers were all really great and a guy with a little man bun behind the bar was... read more

Loved the Duckstein. We recently visited for a birthday lunch, we had a reservation and were seated very quickly. Staff were very attentive. The meals were very generous and delicious. Definitely worth the drive to check it out.

We love the Duckstein, this was our third visit for lunch and we were not disappointed with the food. We visited on at Tuesday and it was very quiet, unfortunately they had run out of pork knuckle, which is frustrating as it's a German restaurant and this is the reason I come here. Anyway, the food was excellent and the... More

Walking in straight away a great experience to be there! If you order the pork, it is a large serving for a lease 4 people! Great food! Great beers on tap! Huge place , very worth checking out! Cheers

Arrived here for lunch on a long weekend and were very surprised the place wasn't packed! We now know why! Service - or more so the number of people serving behind the bar needs increasing. 2 people for a long weekend is inadequate. If you don't mind the waiting in line - and the meals were about 30 mins from... More

Very nice place to chill if u can get a table. The place is big, a lot to look at and a nice little walk around to view everything. The negatives was that the place is stupid busy and the dumb were leading the dumber. It took 40mins to order and we were told an hour max waiting which we... More

Waited 2 hours for lunch , under staffed . Average food would not return and waste a afternoon down south at this spot . Far better places , felt sorry for the few staff that were trying to deal with a poorly run venue

Good lunch - great to have something a bit different on the menu, with German dishes. Quick service. Good beer. Pity the cellar door on site is no longer open.

Visited on a brewery tour and had a tasting paddle to sample all thier great beers, the staff were very helpful and knowledgable about thier products. The sparkling mango wine is highly recommended if you don't like beer or even if you do. The venue looked very new, clean & tidy.

Dropped in for a late lunch on a winter weekday when it was pretty much empty. The service was then quick and the food was of good/large size and delicious. The schnitzel was a highlight. The side of potato skins was also great and a big serving (share between 4-6 peeps) with a meal. Not sure how we had it... More
