Great!!

Have been to the Duckstein a handful of times over the years and have never been disappointed. The menu always seems to be different but you won't hear me complain about that :) I had the mushroom strudel this time around and it was delicious. Also had the taste plate to share, that was great too... read more

Advertised as open till 6pm on Saturday afternoon. We were made to feel uncomfortable before 5pm. Stopped serving beer at before 5pm. I think they wanted us to leave so they could knock off early. Bad form really as advertised on sign out the front as open till 6pm

The food was very ordinary. Two of us ordered the steak sandwich and we were given completely different bread rolls. While the other one looked ok, mine was like it had been put in a hot dog bun. However the others enjoyed salt and pepper calamari which I have to say I could not taste any salt or pepper. On... More

The Duckstein is a great place for a cold beer in a very picturesque setting on the lake. Go from 4pm to 5pm to enjoy their happy hour.

Wagyu cheese burger is great, with hand cut chips and glossy sesame topped bun! The view is amazing and you can walk around the property, and your kids can even play on the playground while you're eating, such a pretty place! So neat and love the entrance with all the fish in the ponds

Booked a table for 11 people at 2:30pm on the Sunday of the Australia day long weekend. On arrival it was difficult to find anyone in charge, our table had been given to another party- we arrived on time. After a while we were given another table but sadly because of the run around we only had minutes to order... More

First time visit and the overall visit was pretty good, lunch menu was very good, I had roasted pig knuckle, this was huge and delicious. Wife had pork schnitzel which was nice and and son had fish & chip. Not cheap $ wise but good value. What I did find expensive is the Pepsi Max poured from an open 1.25... More

Venue is nice and we enjoyed the drinks. Not busy during happy hour AND they don't sell any kind of food. Not even a bag of chips. Cheap drinks and no food is far from a good experience. Now I have half pint and kinda want to leave. Definitely be back to try the food.

This again is our second visit, we were trying to buy some wine accessories from the Sarensen wine outlet that has since closed. Secondly I love to eat and drink around water, the Duckstein has an impressive lake side restaurant and an internal great hall, all seems a bit cold and unwelcoming. We ordered a meal which was good not... More

If you haven't eaten for a few days and what you want is fried food this is the place for you. I might be picky but a chicken salad with fried chicken done to a crisp or salt and pepper squid salad with squid wrapped in bread crumbs (I think) and deep fried was a bit unusual ,although in both...
