Organised a big catch up of friends (kids too) 40 people in total over Christmas break. The weather was perfect to sit in the beer garden overlooking the lake. The food is really good, more restaurant quality than the usual pub fare you can get everywhere else down south. I ordered the scallops... read more

Wonderful to see this beautiful facility shining under new business owners and management. The food, wine/beer and service were all second to none. There were 11 of us; we enjoyed a fabulous tapas lunch where all dietary requirements were catered for matched to wonderful wines. Enjoyed wine tasting in the cellar door with very wine knowledgeable staff and excellent wines.... More

I was here before ....mid 2015... it was always clean and well presented (now it is not... the toilets are absolutely disgusting ). They used to have some really lovely staff/management . The new Manager seems to have just done a high end management course and been placed in a job without much experience . The beer that was made... More

We went to Black brewing company for lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful from word go. The menu is shared, tapas style so we were expecting small portions, we were very suprised to see the big portions come out! The food was amazing, delicious flavours. They had a good selection of drinks but being new their first batch of... More

I visited on a public holiday with family and as expected the restaurant was very busy. We hadn’t booked but were more than happy to wait for a table. We waited for about an hour which was less than we expected but during that time we were not told that there was a bar outside where we could buy drinks... More

Black has come recommended to me by a few so a group of us went down to check it out. A well constructed shared menu made for a lunch to be remembered with impeccable service capping off the experience. Restaurant execution in a brewery setting. Stand out dishes for me are the satay squid and stuffed poppers (although very hot).... More

Went for lunch, 4 of us, thoroughly enjoyed the shared platters for both entree and mains to be able to get a taste of everything. Hardest decision was what to choose from a good variety of dishes. Would definitely recommend, service was very friendly and efficient.
