Looking for something other than a restaurant dinner tonight? Then it's time to drop into The Larder and treat yourself to one of their mouth-watering take-home meals. This Margaret River treasure has become the first port of call for visitors wanting to stock up on some little luxuries for their holiday stay, and to sample the best of local and exotic fine food.

Whether it's fresh wood-fired bread every morning from Gotthard and his team of bakers in Yallingup, locally made nougat from Bettenay's or olive oils by Olio Bello in Cowaramup, the aim is to source the very best of local produce to offer customers an authentic gastronomic experience. Owner and Masterchef finalist Siobhan Halse is passionate about good food, and that passion infuses everything in this magical store. This enthusiasm hasn't gone unnoticed, with The Larder winning two awards in the Margaret River Region 2014 Business Awards in the categories of 'Business Excellence' and 'Regional Small Business 0-4 Employees'.

The Larder incorporates a cooking school, a boutique catering service and the famous gourmet deli - worth a visit in itself just to enjoy the wonderful sights and smells.

If there was any answer to having no cooking facilities when we arrived in Margaret River recently, it was The Larder. Exactly my kind of food ranging from curries, to quinoa salads, to flavoured popcorn. We were really impressed with their Thai Chicken Curry. So much so, we had to go and buy another lot to being home with us!

Dropped in for some blue to go with a sticky I had just picked up at Cape Mentelle and both of the sales people were extremely knowledgeable to help me choose. This is a small place with a great selection of edible Victorian specialties.

Even in my fullest state, I find myself being a kleptomaniac of my bf's food and have to have more as I indulge in his!!! Great tasting food from the traditional spaghetti to exotic curries and tasty soups. Large serves for one hungry traveller or can accommodate smaller serves over 2 nights. Quick & easy and only need reheating & a gourmet healthy meal in minutes,

we had been recommended to stop here and get some food to take home - so we didn't have to cook when we got back. Really glad we did. We bought the Dharjeeling Beef Curry - which had big chunks of beef and potato. The beef was so tender and not a scrap of fat or gristle anywhere. we also... More
