Decent curry

I'm english and curry is now the national dish and I miss curry cooked as it is in England. This curry was amazing. I had onion bhajis and Lamb Rogan Josh, rice nan bread. It was a meal for 1 but easily enough for 2 people, especially the bhajis. There was a very long wait for my meal and that... read more

We ordered take away for 4 adults. The Restaraunt cashiers were perhaps new. I found they were very respectful to all there customers. There were a few in waiting for the orders, so takaways are popular. The food was a little expensive but the flavour and authentic spices were all worth it and value for money

In Kalgoorlie for a few days and thought we'd try the Golden India...... so glad we did. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the menu extensive and varied. Their mango lassi was "heavenly" and the hara kebabs were a different and delicious starter. Main course of lamb shanks in indian spices and vegetable korma with the butteriest naan... More

Love this local restaurant. One of the few places where good vegetarian food is a serious option not an afterthought. There signature disk butter chicken is sensational. Not cheap or fast but that's what you get when you have it cooked fresh.

Picked up takeaway to take back to our room at the nearby Kalgoorlie Backpackers. Service was very slow (40 minute wait - locals probably order well ahead) even though the restaurant was not so busy with in-house diners but the curries were flavoursome and serving sizes generous. The staff were very pleasant and we were given a complimentary dessert to... More

Curries are expensive $21+ and the are pretty average. I ordered a medium beef sag that was bland and no chili heat. On the plus side The beef wasn't tough and dry. The basic rice was nice and more interesting then most. The Kashmiri nann was thick and just had a thin coconut and nut filling, no fruit. Not nice.... More

We've been here a couple of times now and yet to be disappointed. The currys are spot on. Plenty of choice for the whole family and despite appearances the portions are generous (don't be fooled by the pot size). It's good value, especially if you stick to the basics. Service can be slow sometimes, but it's worth the wait.

Born and bred in Singapore, the good is surprising good BUT $24 for a dish of lamb/ beef/ chicken is rather expensive. The Naan bread was tasty for $4.50 per piece and I've been there several times. I can really say I can cook the same meat dish as well as they can. Wait staff was helpful but be prepared... More

We ate dinner at Golden India on a recommendation from a friend. LOVED it!!! The food and service were excellent. We will certainly be regular visitors to this fantastic restaurant. We decided to have meals that we have not had before and are so very glad that we did. Great place and would definitely highly recommend. Thanks for an amazing... More

Having Indian/Burmese Grandparents I have grown up eating curry all my life and because of this I tend to be very picky about any Indian I eat. This place however, is the best Indian I have had in a long time. The Butter Chicken was quite sweet, this was actually a good thing though because the Beef Madras was hot... More
