Four of us had lunch here on a Monday. Two had fish and chips (3 pieces of battered unknown fish, crinkle-cut chips, salad laden with mayo-style dressing; $23.50 each), one had a club sandwich (white toaster sliced bread, side of crinkle-cut chips; $14.50), and I had the roast of the day (2 slices of roast beef, packet frozen peas and... Have been here before, didn't enjoy it but friends wanted to come here. Just as I expected the food was terrible. I ordered nachos or should I say a few corn chips with a jar of pasta sauce on it....was not enjoyable at all. It's a shame because it has a fantastic location!!

Food was terrible and expensive. Cheap and nasty tables and chairs and no table service. Ok the garlic prawns has little or no garlic in the cream sauce and was on a bed of rice but the prawns were ok and the garlic bread was mediocre but passable. Fish of the day was expensive and disgusting. 2 small pieces of... More

Good pub food at pub prices. While watching the sun set over the ocean. Not 5 star. Not 5 star prices. Not a 5 star resturant. Large open area with tables and picknic table. Inside with tables and bar.

Normally I would have avoided this place as previous experiences there have been awful, but thought maybe after so long (it has been approx 3-4 yrs) they may have raised their standards. But no, it was the same. Shocking service, food is very basic for what you pay for. I had the seafood basket (which, yes came in a basket..so... More

No words can descibe how terrible the food is. Chicken kiev out of a frozen coles packet. Crinkle cut chips from coles. Salad dressing out of a bottle from coles. Tough and gristly T bone. awful mushroom sauce out of a packet with some tinned mushrooms. No table service but they are happy to charge 30-40 dollars a meal. My... More

What a great setting with the wonderful sunset over the beach and not a breath of air. beautiful! On the other hand the food was average. the $14.90 for a roast was just ok. Maybe go for a drink but choose else where for food.

This place could be so good. They've got a beautiful position oposite the ocean and there's lots of space inside - it could be really special. But unfortunately the service is terrible and the food is worse! We ordered a seafood platter...what can I say- frozen triangles of fish cardboard prawns and crinkle cut woolworths chips with a nice squeeze... More

Great place for the boguns to go. Where the food is plain fare and the grog is cold. A real barefoot experience

I had booked a table at Hungry Hollow and then came on here to check out the reviews and thought what have I let myself in for! I nearly cancelled but went out of curiosity. Monday night is the All you can eat Roast Dinner for around $13 each. You get free soup and bread as an entree which I... More
