Big Thumbs Up

Dinner for two and this place did not disappoint. Generous serves and tasty dishes served quickly. Seafood Laksa was nice ( could have done with a little more heat) but the coconut filled pandanus crepes were "Da Bomb". Reasonably priced and very busy...

We enjoyed a nice meal in a window seat @ this popular restaurant in St Kilda recently. My Nasi Goreng & my partner's Curry Laska were excellent. They were served in a timely manner, after we had enjoyed some delicious Roti Bread to commence our meal. Service standards need improving,eg : a glass on a saucer to drink English Tea was... More

On busy Acland Street, this place never disappoints as the staff are friendly and efficient, food is great, there is good beer selection, and BYO is OK. If it gets a bit crowded and noisy inside, try outside on the street, even in winter as the heaters work well. And - for a wonderful valued lunch, go for the $12.50... More

Met up with friends for a catch up. The atmosphere was great, noise level allows for easy conversation, comfortable seats & attentive service. And the food is just great, delicious curries, noodles, with fabulous specials of duck & soft shell crab. Good wine list & very reasonable BYO corkage. We have been many times & have always enjoyed it.

This is a great restaurant, which we have been to many times. The service is always good, and the food comes out pretty quickly. Food is always hot (temperature) which is nice. The entrees are well priced and tasty, the mains are well priced also but maybe have gone down slightly in size. The tables are small and for four... More

A group of four we called in before a show .We were greeted warmly by a lady who I believe was the Manager shown to a table and given time to settle before asking if drinks were required and she also pointed out the special board. Orders were taken and drinks and meals were served promptly at no time did... More

Tasty meals but lacking in vegetables for balance against the meat and sauces. Small tables which can provide both a cosy and crowded effect simultaneously. They have a really good cider on the menu which I would recommend trying. Parking is always a bit tricky. Best to do an in/out meal to avoid a parking ticket. Courteous and quick service.

Chinta Ria Soul is the most reliable, reasonably priced restaurant in St Kilda. The service is always friendly and prompt, but not pushy or rushed. The food is of excellent quality -- nothing revolutionary, just good Asian food. The the BYO policy makes for a great lunch or dinner at a very reasonable cost. I live about 300 meters from... More

I was a bit disappointed by my latest experience at Chinta Soul. I used to live on Acland St and eat there a lot. I often got the seafood curry laksa for dinner. My brother ordered that and it just wasn't what it used to be. There used to be much more seafood, Vietnamese mint and fresh coriander. It was... More
