Went for Sunday brunch. It took 45 minutes for coffees to come out an hour for meals (eggs & toast). Tasty food, disappointing service.

We came here for some drinks and dinner on a Friday night. Food was delicious and we liked how it came out after we'd eaten each plate rather then all at once. Would def go back!

I am from Brisbane so it was nice to see the laid back European atmosphere which Brisbane tries so poorly to imitate. Patrons casually sipping coffee with their dogs by their side. We had some share plates (which were delicious), some drinks and coffee. Our waiter recommended local wines and was very attentive without being intrusive. Coffee was excellent.

A staple on Fitzroy St for almost a decade I recall Pelican opening with much fanfare due to the connection with Melbourne Cafe Kingpin, Con Christopoulos (Degraves, Syracuse, European, Supper Club, Journal). Pelican was possibly the greatest leap away from Con's usual formula of intimate spaces, eclectic fit outs and menus that reinvented the venue from morning to brunch to... More

On a recent visit to Melbourne, my youngest daughter and I met up with a long-time friend at the Pelican in St Kilda. We sat inside waiting for our friend and we were immediately attended by a friendly waiter who provided us with menus and drinks and then left us alone to contemplate the menu and await the arrival of... Enjoyed our breakfast here, coffee was the best we'd experienced yet in Melbourne. Wonderfully efficient waitress who was attentive and interested in our feedback regarding the food. I had a pulled chicken with cracker dish and my companion had a very good bircher.

No porridge, no eggs benedict, lots of 'bird seed'. Great coffee, great service. Lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly

We recently stopped in here for brunch with friends on a Sunday. This has always been a favourite eating place of ours as the tapas style menu had some wonderful choices. Sadly on this occasion the menu format has changed and the lunch menu is no longer available before 1pm. We didn't really want the breakfast menu - the usual... More

My partner and I dropped by for Brunch on Sunday and it really felt like an in between time. We had to ask to order coffee's and then again to order food, only when I proceeded to the counter to order did I get asked if we could be served. Was really weird, maybe we just got them on a... More

Between 4 of us we ordered single dishes over a period of 2 hours, couldn't say which was the best dish (beef cheeks is up there) as they were all really good, generous and well priced. Service just right.
