Jack the ripper waiter!

I'm not one to review restaurants, but our waiter's service (Jack) was so good that I felt compelled to review our visit. He was attentive, personable and went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our Pelican experience. The food was delicious - particularly the saganaki, calamari and lamb back strap. We'll certainly be back!

7 of us attended Pelican for dinner on a Sunday evening in November and we were all very impressed. The food was amazing, the wine as just as good and the service was very friendly and reliable. Considering how much we ate and drank we were all very surprised when the bill came to a very reasonable amount! I would... More

Great little place, we wandered in off the street for breakfast and received a friendly welcome. Obviously backpacker staff and obvious the culture is good. The soft boiled eggs with soldiers come served with vegemite butter and bacon salt. I wasn't so much a fan of the vegemite butter, but 10 points for trying, however the bacon salt was brilliant.... My best friend and I came for dinner, as just over the road from our hotel ( Rydges). We found the tapas quite reasonably priced as we were not that hungry. They were delicious. We shared a dessert tapa special which was actually huge, a bit too big for us. Friendly staff, wine by the glass, good atmosphere.

I stumbled upon this restaurant on my way to St Kilda last weekend and it was pleasant surprise! I had an omelette that was quite possibly the best I've ever eaten. I can't vouch for lunch or dinner here, but breakfast is well worth it. Nice portions, good value, next time you are in this area, save your appetite.

We needed a coffee after strolling around St Kilda and came across this place. Nothing amazing to look at from the outside but i was extremely happy with the service and my coffee and muffin. The waitress was a gorgeous Italian lass who was happy to engage with her patrons which is very refreshing. The chai was traditional and that... More

Another great regular local St Kilda venue. Great food, good value and nice atmosphere for lazy lunch or dinner. Something for everyone on the menu. Always have a good time here.

had dinner on a wednesday night, only one other table in the place but as I'd eaten here before & knew how good it was, that didn't phase me. Ordered 4 dishes- mussels (which came with dipping bread) was a huge serving, bugs-4 bugs, beetroot/fetta salad- larger size, lamb meatballs- 4 large balls in sauce. All food was delicious &...
