Love this place. Great service, perfect food beautifully simple clean Chinese food. Always busy the staff are incredibly attentive and happy to help. We had made a booking which was good as it was busy on a Tuesday night. Our dumplings were delicious and the Steamed Barrumundi was beautifully prepared. The restaurant has a great vibe, lots of people chattering... More

We ordered the pork belly, steamed barramundi and fried rice. Pork belly came with a plum sauce. Delicious. Barramundi tasted really fresh, with no discernable fishy taste. Staff were attentive.

This would have to be one of our favourite restaurants. It's pricey but the food is so good, so fresh and the whole ambiance just works.

We have many good memories of friendly service & very good food. We took a group for my birthday lunch. The waiter completely overtook our menu decisions & during our lunch I could see that nearly every other table also had the same food. I asked for a broccoli dish, we didn't get. One of our dishes was a San... More

This is our forth time to Lau's and yet again it was a wonderful evening! We no longer live in Melbourne so love to meet family and friends here. It's warm and friendly and the staff are so lovely. Everything is made easier as the staff serve a lot of the dishes and we always like to share each course... More

Came back after 2 years away for another great meal here. Bit more expensive than i remember (then again, where isn't in Melbourne!) Food was divine - mostly the usual chinese restaurant favourites done exceptionally well with very good quality ingredients. We ordered many dishes to share, which were presented then returned plated up individually. Service was spot on just... More

This is one of my all time favourite restaurants. It is an unassuming noisy little restaurant that will knock your socks off. The food is always just delicious with subtle Asian flavours. Beautifully presented with staff that are on the ball! It is not overly expensive for the quality of the food they bring to your table and having been... More

This is one of our favourite restaurants - we manage to go every time we go to Melbourne - the service is efficient and fun, the wine list is excellent and the food is fantastic!

We had dinner here on Saturday night. Four adults and one child. The food was fantastic and the service was also outstanding. The prices are quite high in comparison to many other Chinese restaurants in Melbourne but the food is very, very good. Think the price was around $250 with one bottle of wine. We will come back here again.... More

Extremely good dining experience in a fantastic Chinese Restaurant. Very relaxing and ambience perfect. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and service is swift without being invasive. Nothing is rushed and food turns up at good intervals. We didn't need to order as Peter(the waiter) gave us some great suggestions. The highlights were the Crab and Bean curd... More
