Two out of Three ain't Bad....

After walking Fitzroy Street to find somewhere to eat we stopped at Lau's on Acland as it was busy, busy normally means Good Food, Good Service and Good Prices. As meatloaf once "2 out of 3 ain't bad". We could not fault the service, in fact it was impeccable, Food was really good, only concern was... read more

The food are pricey and small portion. However, there are few dishes are quite delicious - one of them is braise beef.

For the price, I must say I expected a slightly more nuanced and modern version of Chinese than this. Food was very good, but not really twice as good as my local. Some dishes were far too salty..not sure if this was a slip up or intentional.

An absolutely amazing meal. Every course was perfect and they kept on coming. Delicate flavours, superb cooking, I was really impressed at how good this restaurant was.

Been here several times but the kitchen never fails to impress. Their pork-belly is/was a signature dish but we have never been able to order it as it has been off the menu due to supply issues. Supposedly Cantonese, but I suspect that there is an element of fusion there as well. Can't fault the food but can be pricey... More

After reading many great reviews on this restaurant i went here with a group of 5 recently and left very disillusioned. The prices were exorbitant for the serving sizes and the flavors of the dishes were so subtle as to be non-existent. Drinks were overpriced and a rip off typical of licenced premises. After subtley being told how to add... More

We found this place by accident on our first night staying in St Kilda, and it is just brilliant. Wine list is lovely, the food is top notch and the staff are friendly. We sat down and had a look at the menu, and the waiter just asked if we fancied 'something not on the menu'. Of course we said... More

Meals were absolutely lovely. All meals were tasty and so beautiful. $20 for a couple of steamed vegetables to have something to eat with my steamed fish which was already $38 was a bit rough.

This is no ordinary Chinese food. The service is excellent. Our waiter chose our dishes and did not disappoint. The place was buzzing. Our prawn entree was amazing and the lamb backstrap was so tender, and the fried rice was to die for. The wine selection was very good. My new favorite place to dine. But remember to book!

Lovely meal, beautifully presented, great service. We had a special dumpling with scallop and prawn which was the best I've ever had. Pricey! $220 for two including 2 drinks each, but a delicious treat
