Time and Place

It was a wonderfully warm evening, sat outside over looking St Kilda Beach and the Esplanade, with volley ball being played in front of us and the atmosphere was just right, the service was great and the food was just what we needed. Dropped in here on a Wednesday Evening before going to see a... read more

First time lunch here with group of six. Place was very noisy, service was average and the food not worth coming out in the cold for. I imagine this place would be great on a sunny day to sit outside and just have a drink as the location is really good, but go elsewhere to eat. Can't say anything other... More

Lovely place on the water, especially on a nice easy sunny autumn day. Grab some friends and head down. Lots to choose from on the menu. Didn't eat but it looked amazing. Was a nice afternoon enjoying a couple of wines with my partner.

we had a fresh pizza with figs, gorgonzola and seranoham. Nice thin pizza not too much gorgonzola everything perfectly in balance. The salad with green peas, lentils, broccoli and buttermilk dressing was such a nice combination. The setting is perfect so is the food and staff.

In the outside section the outlook and atmosphere are amazing - a great venue to have lunch and take in St Kilda beach! We had pizzas and they were the traditional italian style; thin base and very few toppings. The gorgonzola, potato and hazelnut dukka was very good!

Four of us stopped in for dinner with our 3 dogs and we were treated like royalty. The staff was very friendly and constantly stopping by to visit the dogs. The food was great as well. We tried oysters, trout, and the pork chop all with a unique taste and veggies to keep it healthy. The staff was nice enough... More

So I love going to Republica ... have been there a number of times. It's lovely to sit outside, have a few beers or wines, and relax in the sun. What is truly awful, however, is their insipid menu: I just want to grab someone by their hair, shake their head violently and shout 'give me something edible ... is... More

after we had dinner a couple of days ago at republica the first time, we returned yesterday as we had a good time before. it's a great place to go with your little ones, the staff is child friendly and the location tight at the beach. Food is good. Try the oysters.

Nice spot right on the beach and next door to lovely grassed areas. Visited on a Saturday afternoon for drinks, pizza and live music. The place was packed, but staff quickly found a table for our party of four. Reasonable prices for drinks and light food menu options. The prosciutto, fig and gorgonzola pizza was a highlight, and under $20.... More

Went for late lunch on a Sunday afternoon on a hot day in Melbourne. There's no doubting the position is great and the food was also really good. The service was quite fast, although you have to order your drinks from the bar. I would say its a very popular place and on a Sunday a big meeting point, so... More
