Description: “Every now and then a restaurant meal can unexpectedly become a memorable dining experience for all the right reasons………sleek and cosy, stylish and inviting, the manner and knowledge of staff exemplary, with well chosen and superbly cooked side dishes and meat cooked to perfection” (Savour Australia judges review 2009)So where is the tapas you ask? Well we’re not really Spanish at all; the name has simply been retained for historical authenticity. The original Spanish Grill was a prominent feature of the old Grand Hotel and was a keen local patronage that closed in 1989. The new Spanish Bar & Grill has been created to remember the past and to evoke nostalgia for former patrons. We are delighted to carry on this Mildura tradition.Since 2006 The new Spanish Bar & Grill has been transformed into a must do dining experience for locals and visitors alike. After two state awards for Best Steak Restaurant this sophisticated yet reassuringly relaxed dining venue was in 2009 awarded the Savour Australia Award for Excellence as the Best Steak Restaurant in Australia. And yes we are extremely proud of this achievement. The centrepiece of the space is the unique red gum grill, with the sights, scents and sounds of the grill adding to the guest experience. The grill is not just a slice of entertainment, it is central to the wonderful and unique flavour of our steaks. Freshly fired each day, the grill uses handmade coal derived from dropped red gum and mallee roots lifted by farmers during clearing. The coals add a subtle flavour to the meat during cooking that cannot be replicated with traditional gas or electric grills.Providing an atmospheric link between Seasons and The new Spanish Bar & Grill is our Wine Bar. Open daily from 5.00pm you can choose to relax in our low slung leather lounges, or soak up the al fresco atmosphere of the vine covered arbour while savouring boutique beers or hand muddled cocktails. We recommend a classic with a local twist — the Blood Orange Caiprioska! With at least one sommelier always on duty finding your way around our extensive local and international wine list (over 200 offerings) is a treat.

Went there on a Sunday evening as we where passing through. Professional staff, great service and decent cuts of steak. Wife had the kangaroo and it was sensational. Wine list mainly local wines. Two people with bottle of red $129.

When looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday night, The New Spanish Bar & Grill was one of the very few restaurants open. We decided to have just an entree each. The Saltbush Lamb Ribs were tempting so we both ordered them with some green veg. and chips. The green veg and chips were not really necessary as the... More

Waiters bring up different types of sauces. Made me feel like a King for a day. Great smiles as well.

Fantastic food and a great kids menu. The Kangaroo matched with a Swan Hill red (as recommended by the waiter) was divine! Kids hardly spoke during our meal except to say yum.

On Sunday evenings it seems that most of the restaurants in Mildura are closed, so we tried this place. Place was pretty busy, and service was friendly and efficient, although it is clear that staff were pretty inexperienced. I had the lamb rib entree, and while tasty enough, it had not been reheated through, with some of the meat being... More

Wonderful service and food. Although I steakhouse, I opted for the Barramundi special and was not disappointed, every mouthful was a delight. Cannot wait to return.

My T Bone was very ordinary. The service was non existent. gave up waiting for any table service after thirty five minutes. And was charged a public holiday service surcharge to add insult to injury.Dined 25/04. In-house guests. The alternative in-house restaurant down stairs on the following evening was sensational.

We decided to try this restaurant for my husband's birthday and so pleased we did. Started off with parmesan crumbed Merbein mushrooms with garlic aoli. Yum. I had cajun chicken and my husband had an eye fillet topped with prawn, scallop and garlic butter. Highly recommend for a special night out.

This was one of the biggest disappointments we have ever had in restaurant! We ordered the shared plate to share between 2 adults and a teenager, the amount was fine but the food was as bland as it could come, the only pass on the plate was the fried calamari and that was borderline. Everything else you would get better... More
