Description: “Every now and then a restaurant meal can unexpectedly become a memorable dining experience for all the right reasons………sleek and cosy, stylish and inviting, the manner and knowledge of staff exemplary, with well chosen and superbly cooked side dishes and meat cooked to perfection” (Savour Australia judges review 2009)So where is the tapas you ask? Well we’re not really Spanish at all; the name has simply been retained for historical authenticity. The original Spanish Grill was a prominent feature of the old Grand Hotel and was a keen local patronage that closed in 1989. The new Spanish Bar & Grill has been created to remember the past and to evoke nostalgia for former patrons. We are delighted to carry on this Mildura tradition.Since 2006 The new Spanish Bar & Grill has been transformed into a must do dining experience for locals and visitors alike. After two state awards for Best Steak Restaurant this sophisticated yet reassuringly relaxed dining venue was in 2009 awarded the Savour Australia Award for Excellence as the Best Steak Restaurant in Australia. And yes we are extremely proud of this achievement. The centrepiece of the space is the unique red gum grill, with the sights, scents and sounds of the grill adding to the guest experience. The grill is not just a slice of entertainment, it is central to the wonderful and unique flavour of our steaks. Freshly fired each day, the grill uses handmade coal derived from dropped red gum and mallee roots lifted by farmers during clearing. The coals add a subtle flavour to the meat during cooking that cannot be replicated with traditional gas or electric grills.Providing an atmospheric link between Seasons and The new Spanish Bar & Grill is our Wine Bar. Open daily from 5.00pm you can choose to relax in our low slung leather lounges, or soak up the al fresco atmosphere of the vine covered arbour while savouring boutique beers or hand muddled cocktails. We recommend a classic with a local twist — the Blood Orange Caiprioska! With at least one sommelier always on duty finding your way around our extensive local and international wine list (over 200 offerings) is a treat.

Wow, what a feast. Pork belly for a starter, and Spanish sausage combo for main, with some fine Barossa red wine. This was great, side of roast veg to help even things out. The great thing is service. When you main arrives, the waitress comes over with the trolley loaded with a variety of mustards and salt/pepper. Great wine list!... More

You rrely get a bad steak from here. Actually ive never had a bad one. The quality and sevice are very god but you need a pocket full of cash t pay for it. Not hard to rack up close $200 for a couple with a steak and a couple of bottles of wine. Nothing here is cheap.

29th August. Hoping for a memorable steak but not so.Despite the extensive menu descriptions telling us how good the steaks were, my choice was ORDINARY. I had the T- bone- "100 day grain fed, etc, etc..."- well cooked and presented, but only average tenderness and flavour. No better than supermarket steak. My wife had the board special of salt bush lamb... More

Hi John, thank you for taking the time to review us. All feedback is important to us. I was surprised to read your comment regarding the Grain Fed T-bone, the comments from our customers has been quite the opposite- full of flavour and very tender. None the less I’ll speak to our supplier. I do appreciate your feedback, thank you.... More

Been here 5 or 6 times over the years, so I will start with most of the time the grub is great. However the past couple times it seems it has lost it's mojo. We were offered specials on arrival and were excited to order them. Ten minutes later "we" asked if we could have some water and drinks. Poor... More

Hi there, and thanks for your review, however we haven't had gnocchi on the menu for about 2 months, perhaps you dined back then? None the less we apologise that you didn't enjoy your meal, and that our specials were sold out...this can happen when you cook fresh tasty food and prepare enough for what you think you may need.... Hello, thank you for your lovely feedback, very much appreciated. The Salt-bush lamb Ribs are just amazing, very tasty. They are defiantly a good amount for an entree serve; I often find people do order them as their main meal. Thank you again, I’ll let the staff know your feedback. Kind regards, Antonia. More
