Great Food

I found Le Parisien expensive, but that was to be expected when eating along the waterfront. Great views and I found the food to be fantastic. Staff were also friendly :)

This restaurant was just great, views over Corio Bay, good food and wonderful service, we could not have asked for anything better. Just the place to dine on a winters day, although we went there for lunch I would go back there tomorrow, our waitress could not do enough for us..we had the veal and scallop dishes for mains plus... this is situated on the Corio Bay in a wonderful two storey old Boat house beside the Geelong Yatch Club around the infamous Eastern Beach ...you get the best Mussles you have ever eaten and the steaks are cooked to perfection. We have eaten here tens of times and always come back when we fly back to Australia, if you like... We always go to Le Parisien when we visit Geelong. It is right on the seafront and the view from the upstairs restaurant is a delight. We expected the meal to be expensive; we all know one pays for a wonderful view at a restaurant. We even chose the most expensive item on the menu as we were celebrating the... More

Beautifully presented decor , wonderful view of Corio bay and great service . I had the mushroom and cheese crepe , not very adventurous , but I'm not into truffles.... . The crepe was really good . Others with me had varying dishes , and all were happy although the portion size was lacking a bit . For what you... More

There's no doubt this local joint would have been one of Geelong's prized restaurants yesteryear. But times have moved on and it has not. Food is large is quantity - perhaps responding to the Geelong appetite, but overly buttery. A revised contemporary French cuisine menu might work here but the locals are pretty set in their ways.

We recently dined at La Parisien for a very special occasion (family reunion). We had experienced excellent food and service two years ago, hence booking again; however, on this occasion the service was terrible and the food very poor in quality. The restaurant was almost empty with two wait staff on hand, however we had to constantly signal to be... More

Pretty good French style restaurant. Was not a fan of the entrée and main I had, but LOVED dessert (probably the best dessert I have ever had), but it seems they no longer have it on the menu. I did try the snails as well, which was a pleasant experience. Over all it was average to me.

A favourite restaurant from over 25 years ago. Visited last weekend and the food is just as good as it was all those years ago. Jean Paul runs a very personalised restaurant. Great food and great service. Only criticism, and not that it bothered us, was it was a bit slow - the restaurant was very full at the time.
