Brilliant little cafe tucked away on the edge of the Geelong CBD. We brunched here on a Saturday and we were glad to find it through TripAdvisor. A nice warm interior on a winter's day and waitstaff with personalities to match the ambiance of the space. Excellent Angus Steak Sandwich on chewy sourdough, a great Soup of the Day and... More

Great find in Geelong. Lovely little place with great coffee and friendly service. Nice muffins, and ham and cheese toastie for kids.

This cafe has it all, great coffee, food, service and atmosphere. I absolutely love it. A definite favourite for breakfast but great lunch menu too. Only downside is the parking, which is an hour on one side of the street and 2 hours on the other but don't let that put you off. This is one cafe experience worth the... More

Me and my husband stopped on our way to the great ocean road for breakfast. Beautiful little cafe/bakery, we both had a lovely breakfast and AMAZING coffee. I write this while sitting in the cafe now trying to decide which flavoured macaron to get for the trip, And my husbands on his third coffee! To miss this would be a... More

After visiting the James St Bakery and Cafe for the first time I am now hooked. Brilliant atmosphere with warm wooden decor, prompt table service with good coffee and food. The ploughman's platter is a must-try.

Stopped for some breakfast and coffee before hitting the Great Ocean Road. Coffee was great, food and service were excellent. Love the big table in the front window. Highly recommend. Will visit again.

After searching places to eat for breakfast I came because of the reviews online, what an amazing job breakfast I had corn cakes with poached eggs spinach on sourdough, reasonable prices great servings, peaceful atmosphere and great shop front for watching passer byers. Definitely can't wait to visit again soon and try the lunch menu!

Have had a few lunches here, the staff are friendly, the coffee good and the macaroons are a treat. We usually share a lunch between two and that's plenty...usually a toasted sandwich. I think because it's hidden down a side street, that's what makes it a favourite for us as it's always busy but with a regular crowd.
