we wanted to try this one out as it was right on the river in the port. it looked great online. when we went there we found they had closed the weekend before and wouldn't be opening again. the chef was going to the American hotel but we won't be going there again as the service and food was atrocious!!

A comfortable place, right on the river - good lighting on the gum trees! Service was slow, the steak was ok. There weren't that many people dining but it was quite noisy. I do believe it has since closed its doors with no suggestion of when or where it will open in the future.

We had a booking at Oscar W for Sunday night of the Queens Birthday weekend... After terrible pub fare at lunchtime on Saturday we approached the kind staff at Oscar W who graciously accommodated us (w our kids 5/9) in the lounge area as the Restsurant was booked out. We then ordered a number of entrees to share which were... More

We had a fantastic dinner tonight. Had the tortellini, duck prosciutto, cod cakes, the charcuterie platter, really good. For mains all our steaks were cooked very well! Dessert didn't disappoint choc pudd which had a bit of surprise ooziness in it!! Loved it!; brownie with those pickle or poached cherries, what a delight. Restaurant was full, atmosphere was great. Even... More

We arrived early and front of house was running the bar, taking payments and clearing tables so it took some time to even be acknowledged. Having arrived early we decided to stay in the bar and have a drink. Whilst we waited for a table to be cleared we were growled at, by an over-stressed waitress, for standing in the... More

We dined at OscarsWS for dinner. We had read reviews the night before at our motel on this site when looking for a dining venue. We were put off by the poor reviews and went elsewhere. We booked to dine at a venue for tonight but when we got there it was incredibly noisy and Oscars was only across the... More

A fantastic location sited above the Murray River, dimmed lights and huge open fire set the scene for a great dining experience. Menu was great, staff good but could have waited between courses, felt too pushed and as a result couldn't try a dessert. A bit over priced but would come and dine here again.

My wife and I had dinner here on a Saturday night. Unfortunately this place did not meet our expectations. While food was above average (not memorable) the dining experience was spoiled by the clear lack of communication between floor staff and kitchen. We arrived at 7pm and our service had been completed by just before! This is not withstanding our... More

Ambience is nice, view too on a rainy evening overlooking the Murray and gums lit up at night. However that's about where it ends in terms of good. Entrees were OK, we had 3 tapas style plates. Calamari very good. Having had these for entree we asked for a break to main course to ensure we could savour the delight... More

This restaurant would have to be one of the best in Echuca. We went there as a family (at the request of our 8 year old son). The meals, service and atmosphere was absolutely sensational. There wasn't anything we could fault with this restaurant. The kids meals were priced reasonably and a great size. Our 5 year old had the... More
