The front garden on Mollison St may give a quiet impression but every time I have dined here, or had take-away, the restaurant is buzzing. The owners and staff are great and readily accommodate anything you need. Their menu is diverse and the kitchen is quick. They are happy to provide take-away boxes if you do not finish your meal.... Very enjoyable, have been many times over the years. Mixed entree is a must. Red curry duck is also delicious. Tables are small and squashed in. Overall very good and very well priced.

After travelling to Thailand, this restaurant is pretty close to the real deal. (Minus a few of the "off the beaten track" options seen on street carts) Quirky interior, pleasant staff and large portions. Entrees are good, noodle and stir fry dishes are excellent (We usually order chicken or vegetarian). Tom yum soup is terrific especially with prawns. Some curries... More

We are sorry to report the food was not good at all. We ordered a green thai curry and massaman to take way. The Massaman did not taste like it should, and the potatoes were obviously added at the end and had no flavour, only about three peanuts all up, but so much sliced carrot (should not have been any).... Have tested the main Thai cuisine eateries for the last 12 months. For the last 6 months we've only been here. The flavour and spices are the best quite easily, and the closest to genuine Thai home style cooking. Had another good meal again, can't see any reason to try any other same cuisine restaurants in Bendigo.

As a resident of the area I have tried many local restaurants, the food at Piyawat is the best in town! Best to book, as this gem is no secret.

Visiting Bendigo from Perth for Business. Locals recommended Piyawat. The food was great, very authentic, nice open garden in the front and the staff looked after us well. Have been a second time and had the same great experience.

Had my birthday celebration here with my workmates. Menus are good but dismayed that two of the desserts were not available. We end up ordering just the ice cream... Not a happy celebrant.

A real shame The building is stunning and the setting is beautiful The food is authentic and delicious But it is a real shame as the service is so slow and the staff just don't care at all They text play on phones while standing around bar area So hard to get good service here I have been many times...
