but that's OK if you are the sort of person who fixates on your i-Thing while in a restaurant. So if it's your thing, there's nothing wrong with that -- just don't book as if it's the old Whirrakee because the name is changed but we missed that when he answered the phone to our booking. To give due: 'don't... More

The Whirrakee has had a name and style change to become Mr. Beebe Cafe and Bar. It has the same chef but the interior has had a makeover and a new menu to cater for a more casual dining experience.

We had a delicious wedding anniversary dinner on Saturday night at the Whirrakee Restaurant. The chef was to be congratulated as all the tasting plates were beautifully prepared and cooked. The service was great and it was a wonderful venue for a special occasion.

I was Recently treated to the tasting menu for my birthday, each one of the 5 course was wonderful! I especially enjoyed the lamb and the goats cheese soufflé. Mmhmm! Our waiter was fun and quirky and really made the night one to remember.

Had a wonderful time. Small without being squishy, good lighting and beautiful decor. The food was amazing and the staff were absolutely brilliant!

Went here for dinner on a Monday night and could not fault the place ! Food was prompt and perfectly cooked and despite there being only one waiter working, he was beyond helpful, informative and very friendly! He made the time to talk to every table and no one was ever without water on their table. Coming from the hospitality... More

Small selection of dishes, but inventive interpretations. Quality of the dishes matches the price. Service was excellent, but overzealous - some people probably like that, but I prefer to be left alone while eating. Beautiful building and view of Roslyn Park. Would definitely visit again, we even took home some of their home-made produce.

Had another wonderful meal here to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. Menu maintains its usual high standards, service attentive and helpful and the wine matches were excellent. While we did not venture into the full degustation experience this time, we used some of the dishes and wines to build our own menu. Only gripe was the high prices for dessert... More

Dining at Whirrakee is indeed a treat . We had the five course Degustation menu and were certainly not disappointed. We dined on the most delicious, beautifully presented dishes. The timing in between the courses was just right, giving us time to savour the last course. Service was warm and attentive, ambiance typical of Bendigos historic past. Definitely recommend for... This is as French as you can get in the regional south. The setting is the Royal bank which fields a small wine bar with easy sofas to get cosy in. But its the wagyu beef and the tortellini of blue-swimmer crab that has us swooning. Good, local red vino was excellently matched with the richness of our harvest. Well done... More
