This is a fantastic place for lunch or coffee. Staff are very friendly. The menu serves a wide range of dishes and the food is a very high quality. This restaurant has a very good atmosphere. Thank you for many years of good food and service. This is conveniently located within the Ballarat city close to the railway station and... More

Walked up and back down Sturt street and decided to try this little cafe. I like the old style setup, with old family photos on the wall it's really authentic and the history is great. I went for the Moussaka and a glass of Shiraz. The wine was ok but not worth $7 a glass. Whilst my glass was filled... More

Good Food on Good Friday. Perhaps the fact my husband speaks Greek made the experience even more enjoyable, as it felt like we'd stepped into his mother's kitchen. Fresh salads, lovely lamb, my husband asked for the bones and he was granted his wish. Saganaki beautifully prepared and a lovely fettuccini carbonara. Food came out in a strange order but... More

Great food and atmosphere with Greek music playing in the back ground. Friendly staff and salads and most foods made before your eyes. Lovely sweets, make sure you try the baklava.

Great food and service, but guys the place needs a good lift!! Family run business by two brothers who took over from mum n dad immigrants from Greece in the 60's. Place looks like its still in that era! Great real rustic food. Fresh and children friendly. Place needs a really good clean and some female love, sorry guys!

Looking for a restaurant close to our hotel we chose Frangos based on earlier reviews. What a disappointment! We were the only diners at 7.00pm on a Wednesday. The proprietor so surly and unwelcoming that we nearly walked out before placing our order - and the food below average. If you,re looking for a good restaurant in Ballarat go somewhere... More

Came into ballarat to find somewhere for lunch on our long drive back to Melbourne from halls gap, and found this fantastic place. Food was fresh, delicious and authentic. Run by a beautiful family who obviously pride themselves on their work, as it amazing. Don't let the dark interior misguide you, it's quite a warm place. Highly recommend this "accidental"... More

Being complete strangers in Ballarat we did not know where to eat, but came upon this place and liked the look of it, and the menu seemed good and reasonably priced. We were certainly not dissapointed. The service was superb, the food was very well prepared and presented, and there was a lot of it. It was very good value... More
