Located in the shopfront of the Ballarat Art Gallery, Sweet Decadence, never disappoints! Be it the "best iced coffees in the world" topped with designer swirls of dark chocolate, their amazing home baked pastries, fabulous sandwiches, rolls, facaccias, or their truly sweet and decadent cakes. Their coffees are all great, be they my very favourite iced coffee, in suitable weather,... More

This is the cafe that nestles in the corner of the Ballarat art gallery. It is a really welcome addition to the cafe scene. Plenty of covers well spaced, a number of window tables to people watch those passing by. Toilets are just outside the cafe in the art gallery and are really well maintained and serviced. The cafe offers... More

We ended up coming back here for a second meal so we could each try what the other had the previous time. Both the lamb pastie and the steak and red wine pie were delicious, and we bought a jar of the tomato chutney to take home.

Love the coffee....we visit regularly and arrive as the most mouth watering scones are removed from the oven! Can highly recommend a raspberry and white chocolate scone washed down with an amazing mocha.

In comparison to other local cafes we both felt that while the coffee and tea were nice, the charm that we've been accustomed to wasn't there. The scones and jam were very good, the handmade chocolates a delicious sweet treat so we'd go back again when looking for quite cafe without the hustle and bustle of other venues.

Coffee was okay but nothing special. The lemon friand was flavourless and dry. Service wasn't too bad. Good location.

Scones were huge and watched them being baked. Have them with cream and you are in heaven. Coffee excellent and service good. Nice area on sturt street with plenty outside seating. Great local.

Positives: delicious jams and chocolates Negatives: expensive food, watery hot chocolate and unprofessional staff speaking about personal lives (hot guys, ugly guys, friends hooking up) in ear shot of customers.

Best coffee available in Ballarat! The sweets and pastries are pretty good too but for coffee lovers go no further.
