Went here with my partner the other day and found the waiters to be really snarly and rude.. coffee and food are ok but over-priced. Location is a bit out of the way and not very atmospheric. Sorry but was hoping for something a bit more down to earth...

Lovely for lunch! Delicious and different menus and fun decor down to the story book menus. Friendly staff - worth popping in.

Eclectic Taste is a delightful, quirky place to eat but don't be fooled by the name! The food here is always delicious, different and beautifully prepared. The service is exceptionally professional and the atmosphere throughout this dear little restaurant is relaxing with its' small rooms plus a room that can seat 10-12 patrons. Every meal I have had here, either lunch... More

One of Ballarat's hidden secrets. Cleverly decorated, unique menus plus delicious food and coffee. We received our menu from a very friendly waitress which was in a children's book (pictured) I selected a orange couscous with fruit and natural yogurt. It was something incredibly different for me to order I'm definitely normally an egg on toast person but this was... More

The decor is quirky and you'll spend a lot of time saying things like, "Old Aunty had that...Remember". The delightful menu covers are made from little old Golden Book covers - Little Red Caboose etc. very sweet. There's lot of kitsch to look at while you wait for your yummy meal to be delivered. The food is terrific and the... More

I love the food in this quirky little eatery. Faves would be the pork & water chestnut dumplings (more filling than they look) and the divine lemon curd muffins. Not together, obviously ;-) Coffee is pretty good though occasionally milk is too hot. My only cautionary note would be that at peak times it can get crowded and excessively noisy... More

We went to Eclectic Tastes for the first time today, hoping against hope that breakfast would still be on. Alas, the rule that says you can't have a breakfast item after a certain time operates here - why is that? So we had coffee and then decided on the moroccan lamb for lunch, mainly because the pomegranate molasses sounded interesting,... More

My husband and I enjoyed a coffee here some time ago and loved it so much we decided to come back for lunch this week. The cafe is delightfully quirky, all mismatched chairs tables etc. Lots of interesting things on the walls to read and look at. Our food was AMAZING. We both had the steak sandwiches. Yummo. However, this... More

Funky/quirky restaurant with a yummy menu. Not a long menu but geez what we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend it. My steak sandwich was the best I've ever had!

A cafe with an interesting hotchpotch of furnishings and bric-a-brac. Great coffee and a diverse menu.
