Eclectic Tastes in Ballarat provides exquisite, creative and yes, eclectic, Asian and middle eastern inspired lunches and breakfast. The prices are reasonable (cheap by Melbourne standards) and the service fabulous. The lively, fun and individual staff add to the eclectic charm of this quirky restaurant that is decorated in 50's and 60's kitch style. The wine list features terrific local... More

Eclectic Tastes should be on every foodie's to do list. They offer a small, but unique menu and every time I have eaten there it has been delicious. The atmosphere is great - the use of vintage and retro furniture and crockery really adds to the vibe of the place. Only downside is they are usually shut for January which... More

I have been here before for coffee and cake and it was lovely, but there main meals leave a lot to be desired. I had dumplings which were not cooked properly with a red coleslaw that had not been drained properly and was bleeding over the plate into the three tiny dumplings. There was no thought in presentation, but to... More

Grossly overpriced for basically lamb & lettuce on a dry, plain wrap like what you buy at the supermarket

Great coffee, juice that leaves you feeling better in an instance, best bacon sandwich and breakfast around the lake, plus I never leave not having laughed or cried from laughing such great welcoming and funny staff. Always so many things to look at and it's great for work or pleasure.

Pretty disappointed with service, food & coffees. Took about an hour to receive our soup, coffee was extremely weak, service was nothing to rave about, not even an apology on the delay of our simple lunch? Walked away very disappointed.

We've been here a couple of times now, and its definitely on our radar whenever we are in the area. Great ambience, great coffee, great menu, and as for the evil nibbles ... wonderful. A very restful vista of the marble orchard across the road.

Eclectic by name and nature. Love this place as the coffee is always good. The menu moves around a bit, which we love, but if the steak sandwich is on, get it!! A funky little place that doesn't take itself too seriously.

My mother and I went here for lunch recently and were very disappointed with service and food. The waitress seemed very vague and didnt get the order right. Food was very average.

I popped into Eclectic Cafe for breakfast and found the food and coffee very good. Whilst a little way out of the town it offers plenty of free parking. The decor is certainly quirky and offers a enjoyable ambiance.
