Fantastic brekkie with a wide choice to choose from on the menu. Service was great and so was the food. Highly recommended. Hint, when parking on a Saturday morning put plenty of money in the meter as you tend to linger a bit longer here.

Meeting friends, having a meeting or just a quiet escape during the day, L'Espresso is hard to beat. Always a struggle to choose between the parmesan scrambled eggs and the fritters for breakfast, best option is to go there often and alternate. Coffee is excellent and consistent, but really, L'Espresso has long been the refuge of the food and coffee... More

This cafe could be in any lane way in Melbourne - but it's not it's the Main Street if Ballarat - lucky us. This cafe has cosy seating ( not suitable for prams - 20 bags etc) and generally has people waiting for a table - on a weekend if your a group - book. The food is great and... More

As recent arrivals in Ballarat, we were desperate to find our new favourite place - and we struck gold early. Beautiful old Art Deco building, quirky setup, friendly staff, glorious food (brekkie or lunch....they're both fantastic) and coffee that's just right. Even our baby loves the place!

Busy tightly packed cafe with good music and pleasant ambience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Coffee was good as was the food. Pancakes with maple syrup were generous in size and the lambs fry with bacon and onion were delicious. Better than average country town breakfast stop.

I really liked the whole layout and ambience of the cafe. Slightly noisy when there are a lot of people in the mornings with a typical heartwarming coffee shop atmosphere. Helpful and attentive staff really made the whole experience and meal so much better. Food and coffee were good and didn't disappoint either. Will definitely look forward to be back... More

Food was had some really nice options but wasn't 'amazing. Coffee was of high standard and exceeded my expectations for the area. Breakfast bruschetta: tasty and fresh ingredients but a little hard to eat as everything falls apart. French toast: not really up to standard, a little bready and not delicate enough. The crumble was a bit bleh. Strong latte:... More
