From the food to the service this was a great experience. We had the chilli cheese fries, lobster tails, chimichanga, the boston butt and some lovely desserts. We aren't locals but will definitely be back when we are in town next! Very satisfied!

Thanks to the staff for your assistance in choosing what to try - the food was exquisite. The service and atmosphere superior to most - what a fabulous place.

Have to be honest have dined here before many years back and didn't like it but after a friend give it a second shot we did and glad we took their advice. Smokey Joes has a lovely quaint décor spotless toilets and a little bit of cooking smell atmosphere but you aren't there for that it's all about the food... More

Everyone should experience the fabulous food at Smokey Joe's. Loved the smokey BBQ chicken, beef brisket(melt in the mouth), gumbo, and fantastic café Orleans with scrumptious beignet..mouth watering and so different to any other restaurant in Launceston. Try it, you wont be disappointed. Cant wait to go there again...

How long have we been coming to Joe's? I first visited on Charles Street with friends well over 10 years ago. Then brought my future husband to try it. Since then I would estimate that we've eaten there more than 30 times. Maybe more. Why do we keep coming back? AMAZING food, friendly service and we love catching up with... More

My partner and I are regulars at Smokey Joe's at least once a fortnight. We keep on coming back because the food is always excellent and the service always cheerful and attentive. We have our favourite menu items and the quality never changes from visit to visit. Highly recommended if you want to try authentic Creole and American food in... More

The Ribs are huge, more meat than a steak, and just so yummy. You can taste the smoke, but not too much, just right! The other things are good too, but I had to help my wife finish her ribs, she was just so full and as she put it... Too good to leave! The staff are friendly, and Joe... More

Had heard good reports about this restaurant before, we found ourselves in Lawrence st and decided to try our luck with no reservation. We were in luck and were given a table immediatly by our friendly waitress. My BBQ dinner was excellent and the bbq sauce was amazing. My partner enjoyed her slow cooked beef and Spanish wine. Reasonably priced... More

UTR flies this beaut restaurant, no TV ads, no radio Ads, no Newspaper Ads, so u find it by word of mouth or by accident, it's abit of a one-off so enjoy it while it lasts. this is real food, not food made by a formulaic profit portion-control robot in fact I am not sure how much the word profit...
