I had eaten here before but obviously did not choose what they are well known for..... This time I chose the BBQ Shoulder with coleslaw and potato..... It was amazing..... I really couldn't fit anymore in and yet I really couldn't leave any on the plate...... Amazing food......

Out of this world flavors, friendly service, a nice quaint restaurant. Had the pulled pork PohBoy, wow. The menu was a challenge however, too many choices that all looked great! Need to go back. Bottle shop across the road was handy also.

This place is a must. I love good American Food but hate average. This place is good very good. We have ribs, prawns, pulled pork, onion rings and plenty of other dishes that I can't remember the names. We drank local US bourban type drink too that we just left for the owner to choose. It was all very, very... More

The table goes quiet, drinks are abandoned where they stand and every one gets down to the business at hand. It's a complicated dirty business at times, decisions need to be made, there are a myriad of subtle adjustments that can be considered, while there is no rush there is an essence of urgency and expectation. Does it need extra... More

My husband probably summed it up best by declaring the food here as 'man food'. He means: tasty-eat-with-your-hands-finger-licking-no salad/vegetables-to-sully-your-plate kind of food. What we had (me: ribs and fries, him: chicken/rib combo with beans and fries) was our first taste of southern American food, and it was extremely tasty and delicious. I rated Very Good rather than Excellent because the... More

Went to Smokey Joe's on the info read on other reviews on Trip Advisor. Was a little disappointed no children's menu at or any food really friendly for kids. They suggested the quesadilla is popular with children, as it's like pizza. So I ordered that for my son, but asked for no mushrooms, but was told they could not do... More

Just had our third experience dining at Smokey Joe's, and once again had a superb meal. We shared a quesidilla for entree, crispy and delicious, and the side serve of sour cream/guacomole/salsa was perfect! For mains we shared the BBQ pork shoulder and the andouille with tiger prawns (medium heat). Both were full of flavour, not too hot, and came... More

I enjoy international cuisines and appreciate the concept and authenticity of this style of restaurant and menu. We have been on 2 occasions - the food had been absolutely magic and is just how the menu describes. The taste & flavour is AWESOME. The staff are fabulous! PLEASE - for those of you that leave negative comments...I ask you to... More
