This was a last minute dine in experience and we absolutely loved the food. Atmosphere was warm, small intimate area. Reasonably priced and definitely filling.

So it was a Saturday night and the place I had originally booked had a gas leak and rang 10 minutes before my booking and cancelled! The staff at pickled evening were kind enough to squeeze myself and 9 other friends in for dinner last minute! Food was delicious! Cocktails were yummy! And the staff were friendly I had a... More

I am bit of a fan of Indian cusine. So when we visited Launceston I did get onto trip adviser to find a reputable Indian restaurant. This little restaurnt is quite aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It's a modern Indian restaurant so don't expect traditional Indian music. We visited on a cold evening and had the restaurant to ourselves initially.... More

Friendly service, cozy and attractive place to eat in. Did some takeaway and was highly impressed by the flavour combination. Not too savoury, but perfect to quench your taste buds. No wonder ranked as the no. 1 Indian restaurant.

Loved it! Great, tasty food. Uncomplicated and traditional. It was pretty quiet when we visited on a cold Monday evening, but Raj made us feel at ease and very comfortable even though there weren't many others dining at the time. Definitely recommend to anyone travelling through Launceston who wants a generous and unpretentious dining experience without the hefty price tag.

Wow absolutely the best Indian food I have experienced. We were pretty tired so ordered takeaway and it was spectacular - amazing flavours and aromas - will definately make this a return restaurant on my next trip.
