Great food, service & atmosphere - Chicken Tikka Masala a standout, Naans were great. Can't fault it.

The way the dining room is organised the diner does not have to catch the attention of the waiter as there is a bell-call on each table. The bar is well stocked as is the cellar and the drinks are reasonably priced. It is Indian food and from my experience in India I would venture to say Authentic Indian Food... More

A Launceston local recommended this restaurant to us during our weekend stay. We booked a table online a few hours prior to arriving at Pickled Evenings on Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed and given a great table by the window. It was a cold, wet night but we were lovely and warm inside. We ordered the Prawn Marsala &... More

Delicious!! A quirky little place that looks more like a lounge bar than an Indian restaurant that packs a punch! Wonderful service and delicious food. I recommend the cheese and corn balls for starter, than I thoroughly enjoyed a spicy vindaloo with decent heat while my wife enjoyed a coconut curry barramundi! If you like spice, don't hesitate!!!

I have been to pickled evenings a number of times, being one of my favourite places to eat! It has never disappointed, the meals are authentic...the service top notch....the value, perfect! A great range of meals both Vegetarian and Traditional. Can never go wrong with the barramundi tikka for entree & butter chicken and lamb korma for main! A romantic... More

The only Indian worth visiting in Launceston. For those of us who were sad to see Bombay cafe go this is the logical replacement. Quality curries with good veg options. Enough variety to satisfy Indian lovers and Indian dilettantes.

Went here for dinner and was impressed with the atmosphere and attentive service from staff within the establishment. The food was pretty delicious and most servings were generous. However, what let it down (not a major issue) was the westernisation of dishes and their names on the menu..maybe its what is done in higher class establishments and is seen as... More
