Nice food with good service from pleasant staff in pleasant surroundings. Not too expensive for a "hatted" restaurant.
This restaurant became my place to hang out while in the city. Very clean, wonderful- simply wonderful service. The food, the wine list, the fit out is excellent. I am a very fussy ex multi award winning chef, an author and international traveller and so my standards are very high. Well done team, you made my 2 months in Tasmania perfect... More
We stopped into Pierre's on a rainy evening without a reservation. Although they were quite busy they found us a table in the front room. The service was generally attentive though our waitress did seem to disappear for a while towards the end of our meal and we had to wait a long time for our bill. The food was... More
I was on a business trip and was dining by myself. Ambience - Front room seems cosier and more atmospheric. I was seated in the back room (new extension?) which was quite clinical, with lighting turned up way too bright for dinner. Asked for wifi password twice. First time was given incorrect password. Second time, 15 minutes later (due to... More
My wife and I visited last night after reading excellent reviews on TA but left disappointed. After taking what seemed to be forever a waitress arrived to take our order I ordered the escargot and my wife ordered the foie gras, the escargot (6) were served with a stale piece of bread which served no purpose for the meal, they... Had brunch here yesterday. Have been here many times over the the years and it never fails to please. Had brunch here after a long walk through Launceston and relaxed at Pierre's with a chilled cranberry juice, iced coffee, blueberry muffin and sourdough toast with jam. Most enjoyable. Staff very efficient and friendly.
Visited for dinner recently and the restaurant still lives up to its great reputation for good food. The "old" Pierre's atmosphere has been maintained but the food, service and ambience have been brought into the current day. Great sweets menu!! Highly recommend you visit!
A Launceston Tradition, beautifully kept going by Rohan, Sarah & their friendly staff. Delicious, reliable menu, lunch is a must. A great selection of Brassiere style dining, at reasonable prices. Evening meals an absolute treat. Atmosphere & decor are modern, upmarket & private.,I thoroughly reccommend Pierre's as must 'dining', when in Launceston.
The food here was good. A bit more expensive than average. We had seafood pot pie, which was okay, but nothing outstanding, however, everything was nicely presented.
We used Trip Advisor to find this place. We did not have a reservation and many tables were taken but they found a place for us as it was a Wednesday . We did not have to wait long for any course and all were delicious. We recommend this place to anyone.
