The overall ambience of the restaurant is very stylish and relaxing. Perfect service could not fault. Enjoyed the mussels so much we ordered an extra serving. A perfect Tasmanian representative :)

I went with my wife to this restaurant one night and found it really sophisticated and really nice. Staff where really friendly and not like Black Cow, old interior and snobby staff. Think they are top end restaurant. Erina who served us was really suggestive about the menu and helpful as my wife has special dietary request.

This restaurant is one of Australia's oldest yet is modern in appearance. Boasting a French-style atmosphere and menu, I have dined here on many occasions and have always had an enjoyable experience. Established in the early '50's this restaurant was a pioneer and has maintained a reputation for quality food, great service and a very peasant atmosphere. Whether for a... More

I like pierres. You know exactly what you're going to get. Good food, quite expensive but very good quality. Atmosphere wise though, I wish they could get rid of the black leather and red theme and the 80s style tables as its all a bit dated and dark. Light greys, greens, light woods, something a bit more modern, then it... More

Fantastic place. Very elegant and classy. Great menu and lovely food. Prices are as you'd expect to pay for a more fine dining experience - $30+ mains. Entertainment book provided a good discount which is why my group of ladies dined there. Very slow on the drink service though and they missed out on some sales there. Shouldn't have to... More

Went here for dinner with my husband early October, had not been to Pierre's for some time and found it very good. Service was excellent and food was really tasty. Great selection, my husband had fish and I had the beef cheek and steak dish, which was one of the best meals I have had, full of flavour and steak... More

Just happenned to come across this place as we were walking around Launceston, what a lucky find, the service was a bit slow considering there were only 12 people in the restaurant, but it was mid week in October. The food and wine was as good as I have had in michelin starred establishments, if they just sharpened up the... More

I had never heard of this restaurant, nor the history behind it but it is clearly a gem to be experienced in Launceston. I was taken here for a surprise dinner and was treated to a very nice dining experience, there were not a lot of people in being mid week and strangely the service was a little slow so... More
