Enjoyable

There is an element of paying for the name, but Pierres didn't disappoint. Good service, good food, good wine.

My husband took me to Pierre's for our valentines meal and i was impressed with everything from the service to the food to the cleanliness of the venue. We had a set menu that allowed for the option of two or three courses with about 3 options for each course. Oysters were so fresh and tasty, steaks were cooked to... More

Pierre's is my absolute favourite restaurant in Launceston. I make it a point to have at least one meal there when I'm in Launnie, and I've not had a bad one yet ! The dining area is long and narrow which turns out quite good. There is bench seating along both walls, and a wide walkway down the middle. No... More

We breakfasted here early on a Saturday morning as we passed through the town. We ordered Eggs Benedict, Fresh Tomato, Spinach and Avocado on Sourdough and coffee. The Eggs Benedict was served on smoked shaved leg ham and the eggs were soft and runny and cooked to perfection with a generous amount of Hollandaise sauce. For the other dish ordered,... More

Thank you Lee - i also had some of those tomatoes (with crispy bacon on toast) for my breakfast yesterday. The taste of them lingered for ages :) Glad you enjoyed them too. The egg expert in the kitchens name is Melissa. I'll pass on your kind review to her and make sure the supplier of the tomatoes knows to... More

We were looking forward to a good meal in town, but arrived. Back home quite deflated. Real shortcuts are taken in the kitchen. Snails straight from the freezer into the oven and served just lukewarm with hardly any garlic butter. Pork belly entree was a piece of bacon deep fried to a crisp. Out of three steaks for mains one... More

We were looking at the menu outside as we were trying to decide where to eat . A couple of fellow travellers walked by and said they had heard it's a great restaurant so we went on in and asked if they had a table for four which fortunately they did. The food was excellent , the service was great... More

I visitted there twice, lunch and dinner. In my lunch, the restaurant was busy so the service was slow but I don't mind about that because other than that the waitress did tried to give me her best service. I love their escargot and salads of grilled mango. And I ordered a glass of Tattinger champagne paired with them, the... More

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner here on our recent trip to Tasmania. Their wine list is one of the best we encountered in Tasmania (try their Frogmore Creek pinot noir for a real treat). Their duck confit was also very memorable. The restaurant has tables on both sides of a long aisle with enough space between them... More

My wife and I had a dinner at Pierre's recently. We both agree, Excellent Fresh Oysters, Bubbles to match and the steaks were to die for. Levi, USA.

Disappointing and overpriced for what it was. Spaghetti dish had a strange flavour - perhaps the oil? Zucchini tart crust was very hard. The piece of salmon was very small. However the french onion soup was excellent. Service was good. The restaurant was way too hot until they eventually put on the air conditioning. Not fine dining, more like a... More
