dined at Novaros with my husband as a special night out. Very attentive, but non-intrusive service and delicious food, in particular the scallops and the eye fillet beef. The chocolate pudding was amazing also. Perfect restaurant for an intimate meal.

Had a birthday celebration meal here on recommendation of a business contact who is a local. Fantastic meal, all local produce, Chef was really accommodating for our 13 year old vegetarian too. Staff were lovely, friendly. We had a great meal and would thoroughly recommend it.

Quality ingredients, well cook with excellent table service. My daughter and I shared a warm salad of octopus with citrus followed by beautifully cook eye fillet of beef. Good choice of wines by the glass. The creme brûlée with cinnamon for dessert and a glass of Sauterne made my day.

Decided to take the partner out for a really nice meal and decided on Novaros. Was not disappointed. While it was cosy, that really added to a lovely friendly vibe and we almost felt we were in a friends home rather than a restaurant. The food was great, with lots of choices, and we couldn't fault the service. Loved the... More

Eating out occasionally we decided on Novaros which has a special feel and energy about it. The staff were attentive and helpful without being intrusive, and even though the restaurant was full, with a fabulous vibe, we didn't wait ages for our food. I chose a steak, as always a good indication of a restaurant, and followed the chef's advice... More

As Italian, I have to report a further case of fake Italian restaurant. They don't have nothing Italian but only the name. The food is on the average and the service is inadequate. Finally, everything is overpriced and the menu presents several incorrect descriptions and names in Italian. My only and last time there.

Dear Belluomo8, As an Australian living in a regional town, owning and operating a restaurant and employing 9 staff, I have to report an Italian who is expecting the food they would eat in their home town. This will not be the case in a place far away called Launceston, Tasmania, as, to make a living, we like to cater... More

We had the best meal of our holidays in Tasmania. Food is fresh, excellently cooked and presented. Waiters very nice. The old house creates an atmosphere. Oysters were so fresh, not too big and fatty. One of the best we had in Australia. Fantastic prawns risotto, not too greasy. Very good panna cotta. Certainly not the cheapest restaurant, but well... Need to send out a big 'thankyou' to Sarah and the boys out front and Nick and the gang in the kitchen. Their first night back after Christmas break - with an already full bookings book - the last thing they needed was an issue with Telstra that meant they didn't get any of their messages for people making bookings... Just had dinner and had an amazing meal. Food is not only fresh it is excellently cooked and presented. Dinner service was busy so waiters were a little absent but still were wonderful.
