The menu was unlike any previously (Chinese) experienced. The difficulty is not finding something that would appeal, but rather making a definite choice. I finally settled on the Mount Buddha... this was recommended by my hotel. i tried two starters Won Ton Soup and the mixed selection of dumplings. They were heavy and rubbery. and appeared to not be freshly made. The next table were loud and shrieking and deafening Not complimentary for a pleasant dinner. I paid the bill (pricey for what I had) and left and went elsewhere.

Have been to Me Wah numerous times, and always have found the food to be great. Hobart restaurant even better.

From the time we arrived at the restaurant we were treated like some one special. Very spacious and clean restaurant. Service and food was marvellous. We requested an item not on menu and the chef was pleased to cook. Delightful.Drinks a little bit expensive. Keep it up.

If you want the very best of food, service and very special wines then look no further. The wines can be expensive but they do have alternatives. A must for the lover of Chinese cuisine,

Me Wah doesn't keep winning accolades for nothing. This is truly the best. The range of choices all of which are top class is amazing as is the drinks menu. If there was one negative, the service is over-the-top. You can't look sideways or put down your chopsticks without someone at your elbow asking you what you need.

I ordered the crispy pork in plum sauce, I can hoenstly say it was the best I have ever had, the lightest crispiest coating (I cant call it batter or tempura) absolutely delicious, my husband also enjoyed his meal very much.Service was excellent and the staff were very good. This is an above average Chinese restaurant.

Initially thinking this was a family restaurant, we opened the door to discover a slightly expensive and adult-orientated atmosphere that made use wonder how they would cope with an excitable 17 month old. With no high chairs, two regular seats were stacked together to give our son access to the table, and all credit to the waiter who was cheerful... More

Unfortunately was booked out the night I visited, but was able to have takeout - using their takeout window. Stay clear of the fried pork dumpling, was not so good, oily. The hot and sour soup, Szechuan chicken, vegetarian fried rice and spring rolls were all good, and the service was prompt. Take out is cheaper overall too!

We came to this restaurant after having tried the sister branch in Hobart. The service was rather friendly. However, the pace of serving the food was rather slow. They seemed to have the protocol of waiting for all main courses to be cooked before serving them together. Fortunately, the quality of the dishes were rather good. All in all, solid... More
