Went to Hallam's for lunch with my husband (we live in Launceston). Hallam's was one of the very few restaurant open on Monday, which is great. The seafood selection was good. My only criticism would be that the main portions were on the small side (I had the calamari). However, everything was very tasty. (I have had their seafood platter... More

We stumbled on this restaurant on a rainy Thursday night and walked past it few times , looked in and there was only a couple of diners which left us questioning whether we wanted to go in , we were pleased we did venture in , the food and atmosphere were great and we would recommend that you give it... We had a weekend in Tasmania & were keen to experience the local seafood. Hallam's was a short walk from our hotel (The Sebel). We enjoyed a late dinner (pre-booked) of seafood & local meats. The local wine selection was fantastic too (we ended up at one of the local wineries the next day). If possible, I'd recommend lunch or... More

We booked a table at this place based on previous reviews and advertising as the freshest and best seafood in Tassie Far from it ! We ordered a seafood platter and told it contained fish calamari , prawns, mussels , oysters and smoked salmon. To start with there was no calamari. Most of the fish was over cooked and dry.... More

Staying nearby I took a late afternoon walk in some inclement weather. Just past the yacht club I noticed the blackboard outside Hallam’s Waterfront advising the availability of oysters, chowder, mussels and abalone - but no crayfish tonight. Having 'chowder-would-be-nice' thoughts, I wandered around to the other restaurants at the far end of the pier. Fish & Chips? Tapas? Most... More

We had dinner at Hallam's on the recommendation of our hosts. We decided to have seafood entrees and mains and were not disappointed. The meals were well cooked, fresh and tasty. The service was attentive and professional. We will visit again when we return to Launceston.

Visiting Launceston and had dinner with a small group Friday night. Friendly and attentive staff, relaxed environment, no hurry, and food was delicious. We were all very impressed. Bummed that don't have a Hallam's where we live. Good excuse to visit L'ton again.

Three pieces of fish, two mussels, 4 prawns and one roll calamari and a thumb of smoked salmon. $48 Not even a leaf of lettuce. Asked for a doggy bag for our landladys cat and was refused ! Not worth the money.
