Top place for a hot potato

The salads are always tasty and fresh with a great range. A very central location. Highly recommended. Never had a bad visit.

Stumbled upon this place and glad we did. The service is friendly and professional. We had the jacket potato with a choice of toppings. Beautifully cooked. Side salads are fresh and rival sumo salad. Thanks Ellie May on york.

Colin and I with two lovely friends for lunch! However I must say the following: Good points: premises immaculate, displays nicely done, salads quite nice, reasonably priced and very friendly staff! Bad Points: potatoes, supposedly cooked in their jackets were NOT so! Potatoes were scrubbed but peeled and were very hard to cut through. How they can be promoted as... More

No-one can equal Ellie May's for baked potatoes. They just have all the elements right. Three fresh salads of your choice come with the potato and they are yummy. Had tuna pasta, pesto pasta and coleslaw today, all delicious. I have had lots of baked potatoes over the years but Ellie May's are by far the best.

I regularly visited this cafe and was satisfied until the manager decided to join the girls serving behind the counter. The atmosphere changed instantly with his arrogance towards the staff. He then made the most popular waitress redundant through no fault of her own which further affected the morale. I will not be giving them my custom in future.

I've stopped in for lunch on a few occasions and have not once received good customer service. Staff are rude and inpatient! Salads are not labeled and the staff would not have a clue what is actually in any of them.. However... good value for money - spud, 3 salads and can of coke for $12, is filling and nice!... More

I ordered a Hot Jack Potato Meal for $12, with a cappuccino. You are offered three choices of salad, the staff seemed to be very impatient if you spend two extra seconds to choose your salad. Another cold face if you ask what was inside the salad. Ask for a tissue paper, yet another cold face. I finished eating and... More
