Bland food and expensive for what you get Mexican food can be hot or miss sadly this place didn't hit the target. The staff were friendly enough but the food was disappointing

After a disappointing visit about 12 months ago, I decided to again brave the Prickly Cactus. Maybe They had a bad night, which ruined mine. Last time the food was ordinary, service non existent & the cleanliness was atrocious. This time however the tables were clean, staff attentive & the beer cold. Things were looking up. However when trying to... More

Mexican cuisine with a variety of flavour, everyone enjoyed their choices and the meal sizes were more than adequate. The staff were very helpful in bringing the food out at a required time - so we could watch a show. This place gets quite busy and a booking is a must, centrally located in Launceston.

I had the sizzling combination fajitas which came with fried rice and a plate with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, grated cheese, and lettuce. Beautifully presented and wonderful flavour. They also have happy hour 5.30-7pm when you can buy mojitos for $4.50 per glass. Yum. The staff were very friendly and efficient and prices were reasonable!

Comprehensive menu, wide variety of choice, great service, fitted us in even though we did not have a booking on a Saturday Night and supplied great food. Meals were hot and plentiful. The atmosphere was buzzing and the speed of service outstanding considering the number in the restaurant. Recommend location for good food and great ambience. And the chef, whom... More

With only a few options for dinner in Launceston, we opted for the mexican place across the road from our hotel as suggested by the hotel manager. Was a good choice as food was tasty (although my sizzling beef fajitas slightly overcooked - may have been my fault though?), staff were friendly and most importantly, local brews available. Food 7.5/10... More

The advertised special suggested a main and desert but the reality was a main which was smaller but more expensive than the standard menu item and the dessert was not included. Service staff had no idea and could not deal with the issue professionally. Would recommend going elsewhere.

Dined their tonight. It is a great restaurant. Consistently great food, wonderful staff, relaxed atmosphere. Good value for money. They also cater for large groups with a private area

Not good value for money. Very small serve of frijolrs refritos dip with an abundance of corn chips, we maybe ate a quarter of them. The mexican mushrooms were good but lacking flavour or spice. My seafood burritos was not served as the menu indicated. It was not crisp, there was a small amount of melted cheese on one end,... More

A fabulous family Birthday dinner, we were seated at 5.30, children's meal orders were taken and promptly on their way to the table. Extensive menu with further descriptions readily provided by the friendly staff. All of our meals were all very nice as indicated by the clean plates, we were out by 6.30. Oliver and the team were very friendly,... More
