Our family group of 7 ventured into the Brisbane Street Bistro last Friday night for a birthday celebration. We were ushered into our own private room at the back of the restaurant and from that point, Jack our waiter looked after us with service that I compare to some of the best restaurants I have visited. We decided to order... More

We have dined in Michelin starred restaurants in London and think Brisbane Street Bistro is easily their equal. We had the tasting menu with matching wines and found each and every course absolutely divine. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable and made the experience even more special.

We were on our way back from Hollybank Forrest and found that our hotel had been evacuated and we were therefore not able to eat at the restaurant there, or get dressed for a good meal out. We came across BSB, and although we were very underdressed (in hiking gear) we thought "who cares!" and asked for a table. A... More

I have been to Brisbane Street Bistro numerous times now with my partner and I did not believe each visit could be upstaged by the next, but it only gets better. The food is always served with perfection and the wines that accompany it are just as good. The service is excellent as the wait staff are always efficient and... More

This is a high end restaurant, with very professional staff who are extremely polite, helpful and friendly. The food is 5 star, well thought out, well cooked and amazingly presented. The meal sizes are not large but I didn't leave feeling hungry. This is not a cheap restaurant but you get what you pay for here and if you can... More

The charming gracious setting, the knowledge of menu is excellent and Tasmanian ingredients highly utilised. My daughter and I had a special dinner here and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, atmosphere and service.

We loved our experience! The service was fantastic, attentive, informative but unobtrusive. The degustation was absolutely delicious and paired with beautiful wine! Great opportunity to try food and wine I wouldn't normally get the opportunity to try. Also loved not having to make any decisions other than our initial decision to have degustation. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere!

Most restaurants in the top five listed on TA were booked out but we got a booking at BSB, for 7:30.. It was Sat night so very busy, we waited about 10 - 15 minutes for our drinks order, so we ordered our meals at the same time. We received complementary bread rolls ( cold and v small) plus a... We landed in Tasmania, dropped our bags at our B&B and headed to the Bistro on the recommendation of our hostess. And what a wonderful start to our holiday! The Bistro is a gem - classy but unpretentious with excellent food, gorgeous wines from the region and fine service from the very knowledgable and affable local lad, Jack. We loved... More

Fabulous Delicious Degustation Dinner, Without Wines, (work early tomorrow) but the waiter suggested a great Riesling and a Pinot Noir to go with our food. Wonderful fish, duck, pork and venison tastings, and yummy dessert.
