Great food , we were a group of older ladies -sisters & cousins from Sydey & Brisbane and we were in the private dining room which gave us a wonderful time to chat. Only downside was the side orders. The food is very well prepared and i could not fault it; It was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is on the smaller side as far as seating, but it has a certain ambiance that a larger seating area couldn't provide. The service is excellent, and really you wouldn't expect anything less, because of the price and the manageable size of... More

Hmm. I tried to like it but... Just trying a bit too hard. The dessert was just plain odd- Rhubarb Chocolate and peanut butter in a minimalist way. Porky belly was good as was the fish. Maybe I am not sophisticated enough.... But great location, although the microwave from the kitchen was a bit off putting.... Good wine list, pleasant... More

We were really looking forward to having a good meal and we were not disappointed. It was mid week, so not many people around, that made the atmosphere a little too quiet. Delicious Pork belly as an entree and the Venison as tender as can be. We had a cheeseplatter which came with three delicious, local cheeses. As to the... More

I visited this restaurant with high expectations due to the reputation it has locally. The decor and ambiance present a lovely first impression. The linen table cloths, glassware and cutlery add to the feeling of luxury and class. The menu is interesting and the specials sounded tempting. The wine list is reasonably extensive although there were many wineries that I'd... More

My partner and I were recommended this restaurant by friends who have eaten here before, we were not disappointed! The food was beautifully prepared with care and thought and the produce was fresh and even better locally sourced! The flavours were incredible!! The venison was cooked to perfection, rare and extremely tender, melt in your mouth!! My partners steak was... More

We had heard a lot of really good things about B.S.B, having never been before we made a reservation for a special fine dining night. The setting is very French and intimate, unfortunately we had a table, half in a corner and so close to bar that if someone was paying they would nearly be touching our table. Excellent wine... Exceptional service, food and wine. Without a doubt the best restaurant in Launceston for finer dining. The Degustation menu was amazing. Although a busy Saturday night we weren't waiting too long in between courses and the staff were very attentive especially when we wanted drinks. Bravo Brisbane Street Bistro.

Bistro? Not really, it`s more like a up-scale fine dinning restaurant with excellent food, wine and service! We were so astonished with the menu and as we couldn`t decide on the starters in the first place, we decided to take all the 7 appetizers and entrees and sharing them. Warm mushroom salad, crispy pork belly, tomato tart, white rabbit, beetroot... More

We ate here for dinner. The restaraunt is located in an attractive 19th century terrace house. We had a very enjoyable, well presented meal with good quality, fairly priced wine. I would definitely recommend the Brisbane Street Bistro for fine dining with only one qualification;the senior member of serving staff was not particularly welcoming or attentive and to some extent let the house...
