Excellent food, service and good wine list. Decor is very tasteful and relaxing. A must to order is the Pork Spare Ribs Entree. Three words.....yum yum yum

We had dinner hear because of the great reviews on Tripadvisor and weren't disappointed. From the moment we entered this beautiful elegant building to the moment we left we could not find any fault! The waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly, just as you would like him to be. The food was spectacular. The warm mushroom salad was silky smooth... More

I've eaten in a lot of restaurants worldwide. The food presented by Chef Terry Fidler is second to none. The Flavours, the complexities all combine to make a very enjoyable experience. A restaurant in the true sense of cooking. Using local produce coupled with an outstanding selection of wines, gives the diner a night of fulfilment.

We chose this restaurant because of the TripAdvisor reviews and regretfully cannot support the majority of positive reviews shown. There was nothing wrong with food, although we thought a little expensive; our problem is with the service. This restaurant presents itself as a fine dining experience. To fully achieve this, the service has to be to level of the food,... More

I was on a short trip to Tasmania and was told that this restaurant is a must....I was not disappointed. The staff were very attentive without being obtrusive. Jack, the head waiter (I'm assuming) was very knowledgeable regarding the menu and the wines as well as being personable. There was a choice of a 7 course tasting menu or a... More

Couldn't fault our meals and the service. All 4 of us loved the food and am looking forward to returning. Well worth the money and will definitely return!

It's the first time the four of us visited the Brisbane Street Bistro and it won't be the last. A warm greeting upon arrival set a good scene and our table was beautifully set in a warm (cosy) environment - a great atmosphere in this restaurant. A very extensive and impressive wine list as well as an interesting menu. The... More

Our family group of 7 ventured into the Brisbane Street Bistro last Friday night for a birthday celebration. We were ushered into our own private room at the back of the restaurant and from that point, Jack our waiter looked after us with service that I compare to some of the best restaurants I have visited. We decided to order... More

We have dined in Michelin starred restaurants in London and think Brisbane Street Bistro is easily their equal. We had the tasting menu with matching wines and found each and every course absolutely divine. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable and made the experience even more special.

We were on our way back from Hollybank Forrest and found that our hotel had been evacuated and we were therefore not able to eat at the restaurant there, or get dressed for a good meal out. We came across BSB, and although we were very underdressed (in hiking gear) we thought "who cares!" and asked for a table. A... More
