Tasty food but a bit inflexible

The food is good. the ambience great and the staff simple and devoted. The restaurant however is not flexible as INdian food should afford - not ready to innovate to modify stuff for the real Indian clients with nuanced taste for Indian food's variations. The food is good. the ambience great and the staff simple and devoted. The restaurant however is not flexible as INdian food should afford - not ready to innovate to modify stuff for the real Indian clients with nuanced taste for Indian food's variations. But to be fair, that may not be really necessary for non-Indian foodies.

We were a party of six, when we had dinner at this place. Our entrees came quick, but we had to wait nearly an hour for our main plates, without getting an explanation or an excuse. The food we had was very good (I had Chicken Madras, for example, that I absolutely can recommend), but we were close to leaving... More

I just attended for a birthday dinner. Great service, very professional, with a great variety. We had the buffet with extraordinary curries to chose from, naan, rice, chicken and lamb, with a mango desert and a dumpling desert. I'm about to burst, and they graciously offered us takeaway bags for the leftovers! I think I'm fed for the next week!... More

This place is the worst resteraunts experience I've had in launceston. Good was ordinary. Had a meat platter that I wouldn't even feed to my dog. Service is terrible, the staff struggle with simple/basic English. There is also no atmosphere in this place. Terrible experience.

We read the trip adviser restaurant reviews and looked at 2 other Indian curry restaurants before choosing this one - it had the best curb appeal. I had a chicken tikka masala and my husband had the butter chicken. I can not say they were the best curries we ever had but they were as good as most we have... More

On the brochure for this restaurant it states that it is "the best Indian restaurant in Tasmania 2012 winner" so the expectations were high. The menu was very good and had a lot of variety to choose from. The husband and myself decided to share the meal and opted for the tandoori chicken, beef madras, plain rice, garlic naan x... More

My adventure started when I was seated on a coach waiting for my table (even though there were plenty spare and I was a party of 1!!!) I ordered Cheese Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken and a sweet desert I can't remember its name. My meal arrived without rice so I ordered it. I would have thought this would have been... More

We were part of a large party, 20, and all agreed that this was a memorable meal. Quick friendly service and meals cooked to perfection. No request was too much trouble and with one guest unable to eat coriander, they served special dishes for that person with great delight at being able to give that person a relaxed eating experience.... Well this was a disappointment . Lovely decor etc but pity the food didn't match. The sauces for the curries all tasted burnt and all the same. The Nan etc was ok but very disappointed with the curries. Hey, you may have a better experience but for us not good. We even asked the staff why and they had no... More

We had a delicious dinner with a great waitress. Will definitely come back next time and will recommend to our friends and family.
