Good food great setting

We ate in the small cafe adjacent to the wine tasting area. Nice selection of items, more pricey than the average cafe, but great views and outside dining if weather good. Service and presentation very good

Spent the morning at symmons plains racing cars around the track. Came here for a late lunch. Cannot speak highly enough. View, service, food all amazing. A culinary delight. Wines lovely. Trying to find space to extend the experience to dessert or cheese....

We arrived for lunch at our reservation time, were promptly seated, and water and menus were delivered immediately. We were then asked by a young man about drinks and requested a little time to peruse the wine list. We were then ignored - conspicuously - for 25 minutes, while staff scurried to and fro around us. We watched this young... More

What an amazing location, breath taking views and very classy restaurant. We tasted wines before dining and were suitably impressed. The menu was creative using local in season produce which made it hard to choose from the menu, the staff were friendly but I think our waiter was very new to both the restaurant and waiting. As we there only... More

In February 2015, we had the privilege to film a wedding at Josef Chromy Estate. http://lovelab.tv/portfolio/tasmanian-wedding-video-josef-chromy-matt-candace/ As wedding cinematographers, we look for special features and details that might be missed at first glance. With so many features to consider on your special day, a wedding venue is one of the most important features of any wedding. Full of character and... More

I have dined here several times, before the extension and now recently in the new larger venue. The menu has changed incredibly - I miss the tasting paddle with the matched small glasses of house wines, which are all excellent by the way. This time the food was very upmarket, and expensive, but the accompanying vintage bubbles we chose was... More

We stopped in for lunch on the way to Bridport and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. We had three courses and each course was delicious and interesting. The use of fresh produce was a standout - herbs, fennel, apple, fresh peas. We both chose the lamb for main and it was... More

I attended a lunch on Saturday for a friends 30th birthday. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and the view outside was spectacular. I found the service to start was quite slow but got better by the end however the staff were super friendly and professional. The food was amazing, we had no complaints at the table and the... More

We were very fortunate to be guests at an Easter Wedding at Josef Chromy Winery. It was a beautiful setting with lovely gardens and views. The wines were stunning - my favourite was the Pinot Noir. The selection of food was stunning and I can only think that if they can do this standard for 100 wedding guests then their... More

To save embarrassment they should advertise that lunch pre booking was advisable. Went to have lunch, but we're not keen to serve lunch for 2 adults and 2 kids. Disappointing. So we went to LEANING CHURCH VINEYARD where had awesome lunch with local super fresh scotch fillet steaks and bought box of Pinot Noir 2013 (amazing wine and free freight... More
