We have had several meals at Josef Chromy. Eating outdoors on a warm spring, summer or autumn day is very pleasant. The larger indoor area that is at the restaurant now is excellent and we have attended a couple of movie evenings there last year, a variation to a very pleasant meal that we really enjoyed.

Absolutely amazing food, very creative menu and good size servings! Amazing wine also! Every single person at our table of 12 loved their entree and main. Very high quality and beautiful location. Highly recommended!

The food was magnificent, really imaginative. The staff were so helpful and friendly, suggesting wines which would match the food. One of our best dining experiences in a long time - lots of 'Yums'!

Looking forward to 'Special Birthday Lunch", with & for a Special friend. Service was very average, menu read beautifully. But what was written & what arrived on the plate were NOT the same. In the middle of a lovely relaxed lunch the television screen dropped down beside us with the Scoccer being shown, whoops a mistake. The charge of drinks on... More

Had been looking forward for some time for the opportunity to visit Josef Chromy Winery and it did not disappoint. Had a relaxing and enjoyable meal and wine with attentive service while overlooking the beautiful vineyards and gardens - it is such a pretty setting. Just a short drive from Launceston.

Relaxing ambience, unobtrusive music that felt good, magic rural views. Service was timely, professional amd pleasant although we were in an early sitting at 12.30. Restuarant filled up later so maybe come early on a Sunday. Food beautifully balanced flavours. Wine just right for the meal. This meal and occasion felt like a really special time. Will be back soon.

Exquisite taste combinations in all five of our dishes. The portions are not large but very satisfying. We had a very delicious meal and enjoyable dining experience. The wine list is also extensive but we went with the wines suggested for our dishes. Great matching! According to my husband the food was amazing, fantastic & sublime!!Non-standard dishes with unique flavour... More

Twice we have driven to the cafe and cellar door on a weekend, and both occasions we found it 'closed' for a private function. Closure not mentioned on the website and undoubtedly emmensely annoying for visitors and tourists alike. Not a good show.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and is in a perfect location - great views! We were a group of 11 friends for lunch but unfortunately the kitchen didn't seem to cope - food service was slow, some dishes were cold and our waitress did her best but was clearly inexperienced and very busy. Most dishes were great when they... More

Have eaten at this restaurant on a number of occasions and found it to be quite good. This latest visit we found to be very average, food seemed tasteless with small portions for the price. Very exotic sounding item on the menu that was shoestring chips. Food disappointing but the wines lovely.
