What a disappointing experience we had here. The high tea consisted of less than luke warm tea poured into those thick old white catering cups that I thought were only used in church kitchens! We had to flag down one of the waiters for a second cup which was the same temperature and splashed all over the saucers. For our... More

During our stay at the Stamford Grand ,husband and I had breakfast each morning . The restaurant had a pleasant feeling, good view of the beach, much like a beach hotel in England . The breakfast menu had good variety . No complaints from us !!!

We had high tea at the Stamford Grand on Sunday, 8 June. Having had high tea with family at the restaurant two years prior, I had high expectations. I excitedly took my fiance into the Stamford, making a special drive there from Adelaide, with visions of the service, food, I had once experienced. Unfortunately, so much has changed! Firstly, it... The only really great thing about this hotel is the location. It is right on the beach and Jetty Road for shopping and restaurants. The decor is really dated and in desperate need of renovation. It was clean though and sufficient for the purpose (daughter had school graduation downstairs)

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions, rooms are great and very close to everything you want to see. Easy tram ride t the city and on the beach. But the main restraint food was very poor. Our evening meal came out cold and about 15 mins apart , will never it there again, But the room service... More

as part of a volunteer recognition event we were indulged with the platinum high tea, a mouthwatering assortment of savoury and sweet finger food I would easilyrecomment it for a group function maybe the hotelneeds a facelift

I took my mother and father for high tea. The service was excellent and the food was beautiful. The only change I would suggest is to use tea leaves instead of bags, it is called 'high tea.'

Oh dear, words cannot describe this terrible and unforgettable experience. We paid $50 per head for high tea on Mothers Day for a group of 5 people. No sandwiches were served at all, a massive satay and some excuse for desserts...seriously a satay for high tea. No tea was offered or served until we had finished our meal and it... More

A great place to stay in Glenelg ! Wonderful queen size beds in the room we stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The spa is a great place to retreat to if wanting to get away from it all, though you may have trouble finding it. Breakfast in the restaurant was nice with a... More

My wife and I had lunch at the Promenade Restaurant for our wedding anniversary. The view and staff were both pleasant but the hotel seriously needs to lift its game as there are many better places to eat in Glenelg. We dined on a quiet weekday but the food still took much longer than it should have to arrive. Perhaps... More
