I've never had a bad experience at Rocksalt but there have over the years been some issues. Upping the standard of food, service and atmosphere obviously must be a never ending challenge in a town where your staff are always eyeing off the fabled "Island job" where ther seems to be a money tree, but Rocksalt persists and at present... Good food, extensive menu, very nice Tapas platters, fairly good value for money, service at times can be average, but probably because of high turnover of staff in Gladstone.

Such a nice place to eat, the food is to die for, the service is fantastic, the only downside is it is a little pricey but in saying that you are paying for quality food, as it's a beautiful meal. We regularly eat there despite the cost.

Lovely hidden place, with a great atmosphere. The staff members there are fast, polite and cheerful. Thanks to Marika, Simone and Jasmine for your service with a smile! Highly reccommend it! Serena from Brisbane

Delicious food but you may not get a table cloth if you dine at lunch time. Camping tables when paying $30/dish is a bit average.

Its not fantastic but its good. Prices are expensive but that is expected for Gladstone. Service is great and is also attached to the Metro Motel.

We went here for a night out with friends. The cocktails were great and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The service was great and the meals came quickly. The ambiance isn't amazing and the meals are a little pricey for what they are but this is a common issue in Gladstone.

With four hours to kill before our flight and breakfast five hours earlier, on Heron Island, we were very hungry. The 1, 2 or 3 dish lunch options were good value and very tasty. The waiter Gary coped well with the unexpected 20 odd patrons, hoping for late lunch and arriving in random groups, attentive but not hovering. The haloumi... More

A big group of 20 women turned up unannounced on a Monday lunchtime. Gary and the chef were unflappable! Perfect smile, stress free, speedy service, delicious food. Highly recommended
