We love Mexican, so decided to try this place whilst staying in Coolangatta. I rang for a table, asked to come at 5.30pm as it was heavily booked. So we turned up, place was getting busy, good reception from staff. Furnishings and décor good. The menu was comprehensive the usual Mexican fare, burritos, nachos, enchiladas etc. I chose the pork... More

Worst Mexican food I have ever eaten and expensive!!! Tasteless and boring. Kids wouldn't even eat it as it was horrible. Very poor service waited for ages to order and upon leaving the restaurant 30 mins later I feel sick. Very disappointing as restaurant was busy

We decided to stop in for one drink, but the service was excellent. The bar man was just the right person for two inexperienced Tequila drinkers. Make sure you get a half flask of Margarittas, strawberry was our favourite for around $20 we ended up with 3 drinks each.

We stopped in after a terrible dinner experience at another restaurant. Mark and Ryan welcomed us made us comfortable right away. The tacos were large and really tasty. We also had the trio of dips, and I would be hard pressed to say which was the best. The chill con carne was amazing! The tequila selection was quite large, but... More

Hubby and I do not like mexican food as it is always so heavy and feels like a brick in our stomachs. But the rest of our family wanted to go so along we went. We have not been to Aztec since it moved to here from the other side of the road. What a great improvement, really nice decor... More

The bar man was very knowledgable about the drinks/liqueurs/wines and made a delicious margarita. The wait staff were efficient on a very busy Tuesday night and the food was really quite good. We had entrees and nachos which we really enjoyed. The only negative was there should have been more corn chips with the large nachos we shared, but minor... More

Went there for dinner with a small group of colleagues. I love Sangria but had one sip of theirs and wouldn't touch it. I had a chicken burrito and it was bland slop. Others in the group had margaritas which looked like they were from a margarita mix, not made fresh.

Went here for lunch. Had taco's and the San Marino nacho's. I could not believe what I saw when the nachos came. The shells were well burnt and even the lighter ones tasted well burnt. I could not be lien the chef would let it come out of the kitchen or that the waitress would even consider serving them. I... More

Having read the reviews, I was cautious but it seemed like the best bet for a Mexican in town. Would have been better off getting microwave burritos from Coles! The food was not edible and the sangria tasted like liquidised hot cross buns. We sent both our meals back and were compensated with a mere 50% off the bill. Now... More

Went for lunch time meal. Most mains are 1/2 price at lunch time. Good value for money. Fast service and friendly staff. For 2 meals and drinks each came to $35.00. Cheap lunch outing.
