We went for Dinner & had the buffet, the sea food was Excellent, Oysters, Prawns, Bugs & crabs all top quality! The wine was very reasonably priced & service was excellent! Would recommend arriving just before dark to see the water & taking your time for the meal. Will be back for sure!

Ihave enjoyed this restaurant for years but sadly since the novatels takeover earlier this year the meals and service has deteriorated greatly. Even the childrens play area had only broken useless toys until I drew their attention to the matter and they have improved this slightly. Maybe they will read this review and make serious changes to bring the ratings... More

Windjammer overlooks Wollongong beach. I fully recommend the buffet lunch. Great food, great value. A window table is the best but you can still see the view from anywhere in the restaurant.

Went for lunch as and hadn't been since I was very young. Reminded me of those buffets that got shut down or went broke more than a decade ago. Completely inedible hot meals and seafood was tasteless (crabs) or unclean (oysters). The salad bar was really drab and the fluorescent cake selection didn't even look legal. The ice cream fridge... Good go to place in evening, meals were well priced and had large tvs, but sound very low so you could watch the news and just hear. But food and bar good and made me stay at hotel more than go elsewhere.

Went there on the off chance, and had a bottle of champagne and dessert, staff are attentative. The hotel could do with a make over.

We breakfasted here and I was very impressed with the fruits combined with different herbs/spices - unusual and very tasty. Also the cooked breakfast has a wide variety with something for everyone. The views over North Beach are fabulous too!

If you are into seafood you will love this buffet. There are other dishes to choose but I found them to be overcooked and dry. If you have kids who are fussy eaters I wouldn't recommend it. Service was excellent but we did have to line up and pay for our meal, which when the bill is $200 plus I... More

Not expecting to get what you get in the big hotels in Sydney, but chicken drumsticks, bgasa fish, penne, plain veggies, party pies and sausage rolls meant the mains were very ordinary. Entrees were better with oysters, prawns and smoked salmon. Dessert was about 5/10 - fruit, small cheese platter, jelly, choc mousse, small cakes. Also, what was on offer... More

This restaurant is part of the Novotel Hotel overlooking North Beach in Wollongong. The selection of dishes was limited one each section and the taste was average. The seafood was limited to some anaemic prawns, some good tasting oysters and some great looking salmon. It is a great place to take some hungry teenage boys but if it is taste... More
