HEAVENLY

We have been in Port Macquarie for 3 weeks this June July and have been to this restaurant 3 times. We really can't go past this newly renovated place for ambience and the food. I had a Margarita and my husband a Japanese beer with a dozen Pacific oysters as a starter between us. We have then... read more

The place to go for higher end dining in Port. Food always awesome, good service. A little cramped and pricey to take the kids

This is a great restaurant by Port Macquarie standards however its not up to speed with the Sydney restaurants at similar prices. Better to have more regular patrons at a more regular price.

The Stunned Mullet has always been our favourite restaurant in Port Macquarie with fabulous food, great wines and excellent service. Our previous assessment of the Mullet's qualities have just been brought into sharp focus by a five week wining and dining tour of Paris, Provence, Tuscany, London and Hong Kong. In the course of this tour we visited restaurants from... More

We have been eating at The Stunned Mullet since it opened. On our last visit to Port Macquarie in March this year, we were in town for eight nights and ate there three of those nights! The food and wine are always delicious and beautifully presented. Lou and his staff are friendly, and knowledgeable about their food and wine offerings.... More

Last week we had a wonderful meal at The Stunned Mullet. We both has lobster followed by the Patagonian Toothfish. Both dishes were just delicious, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. We then had one of the three different cheese platters. Great to see some innovation in cheese platters ! We also experienced charming and attentive service. The staff not... More

Knowing it would be expensive for my birthday but husband wanted to go. Not disappointed with its No 1 rating. Food excellent, service spot on, never seen a 13 page wine list before. Can see why it has a high rating. We are retired so can only afford to go for special occasions but will go again. It is on... More

We went for dinner here on a weeknight and it was quite busy would recommend booking a table in advance. The king prawns and kingfish were delicious. My partner had scallops and toothfish and was less overwhelmed. Extensive wine selection and helpful advice. Nice coffee to finish. Perhaps a little on the pricey side.

Without doubt this is the best restaurant in Port Macquarie. Yes, it's fine dining and yes it's expensive, but if you want the best or for a special occasion then here it is. The staff are the best .... as good as the best in Sydney or Melbourne. They really know their stuff and very friendly, attentive and helpful. Well... More

This restaurant has good food however, it is quite "nouveau cuisine" with small servings at a high price. Not good value.
