We chose Roberts for dinner because we were staying at Peppers Convent and it was a convenient walk from room to restaurant. The rustic slab construction creates a great first impression and we were warmly welcomed by the staff. Our table was right in front of the open fire and it created a lovely ambience. After a day of wine... More

The food was divine and brilliant service. Hard to find at night, but good signage. The waiters were so lovely! Expensive, but as i said, the food is amazing, service was brilliant and the grounds are beautiful!!

Although it was a lunch visit in off season and therefore few guests it still had a very pleasant ambiance and absolutely wonderful food. I must especially mention their olives, they were superb probably the best I have ever had. This is restaurant with style and now -how.

We were staying with friends at Peppers and went to Roberts for dinner. Due to our group of 10 we were given the private dining room at the front door with its ante room and fireplace. Sounds grand for a slab hut but it was terrific for our group. Food sublime and service exceptional. Wine slightly on the expensive side.... More

There is certainly everything to like and nothing to dislike about Roberts. The old farm house has been beautifully and traditionally renovated with amazing woodwork. There are beautiful open fireplaces, quiet rooms for a drink as well as a beautiful dining room with candles and a fireplace. As for the food, it was the best food that I have ever... More

An AWESOME place, meal, atmosphere. Fine dinning at its best, wait staff could be a bit more pleasant, but it was a beautiful meal. Highly recommend 🍸🍷

I instantly fell in love with the beautiful old building as we walked up the driveway. It was picturesque with the old grape vines draping over the wooden windows. And as you go through the solid wood entry, you have the hard decision whether it sit in the wine cellar and admire all the beautiful wine bottles or sit in... More

We planned a special lunch in a Hunter Valley Restaurant on a June Sunday. Roberts has for a long time been on our "must visit" restaurants and finally we did it. We knew it wouldn't be cheap however we left very satisfied. The service was good, the restaurant atmosphere and setting is special and the food was great. The meal... More

Having read all the reviews we were looking forward to a special evening. We were shown to our table and sat for 30 minutes before anyone came. And then it was to take the meal order. We had not been given a wine list. After 45 minutes we finally got the wine list. Our water glasses were not refilled at... More
