My husband & I love Italian cuisine so decided on Il Cacciatore when our B&B host recommended them. Well they did not disappoint! We had the garlic & Parmesan pizza for entrée - perfect crust. For mains we had the pork belly & the rabbit & leek pie with salad both were delicious! Unfortunately we didn't have time for dessert.... More

The menu is varied so everyone should be able to select personal favourites. Service is prompt. Italian style wine is my preferred option when dining here. I do wonder at the paper over the crisp linen tablecloths. I appreciate that it adds to the cost of the dining experience and I would gladly pay to have just the linen cloths.

We ordered 2 pizzas take away and a garden salad. Everything was exceptional! Pizzas were amazing and for $15 each excellent value. Salad was real good, not your typical salad full of lettuce. Will definitely order again from here

My wife and I stayed at Hermitage Lodge and had a lovely weekend in Pokolbin. The first night we dined here, we had booked for 8pm as we were arriving a little late however when we arrived at 7pm we were asked if we were able to just freshen up and come in earlier. This was not an issue as... More

We stayed at the Hermitage Lodge and decided to just eat in after a full day of driving up to the Hunter in the morning and taking a fantastic private wine tour in the afternoon. Fortuitous decision. The foccacia was very generous (one order for a table of four would be sufficient). All four of us loved our mains. Just... More

We went here on a friend's recommendation and found it warm, cosy, and welcoming with a nice ambience. There was plenty to choose from on the menu and our food was first-class: light and tasty, perfectly cooked, and prices reasonable We would definitely go again.

A great restaurant with wonderful ambience, friendly waitstaff and tasty fresh italian food. I couldn't fault anything at ll Cacciatore as we were greeted in a friendly professional manner, served our food in a timely manner and left with smiles on our faces!

Whilst staying at Hermitage Lodge in February we dined twice in Il Cacciatore restaurant. Both nights we were given warm and friendly service by the staff. The fresh food offered on both nights was exceptional coupled with a great range of local Hunter wines. One night we were in a small group of friends of six persons however the 2nd... More
