Visiting the Hunter usually involves lots of eating and drinking. Therefore when it comes to lunch time the urge is not to overdo the food as there is probably a big dinner looming later on. The Australian Regional Food Café is just the place for a healthy tasty lunch at a reasonable price. The setting is comfortable and relaxing close... More

We had a really nice breakfast there, with pretty views over bushland and a small lake. Slightly on the expensive side, but we had free wi-fi access so we could catch up with our emails.

Stopped here for a quick coffee, which was lovely. Didn't eat but the place looked nice with a decent menu

My wife and I had breakfast here twice this past week while in Hunter Valley. Over course of 4 plates (over two days), we enjoyed fried eggs on toast with bacon, scrambled eggs on toast, bircher muesli with yoghurt & fruit compote, and an exotic fresh fruit platter, with a bowl of muesli and another small bowl of yoghurt. First,... More

We stopped here for breakfast and were thoroughly disappointed. I ordered Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and my wife got the same but with ham. The eggs looked like they had been poached in a microwave, the muffin was not toasted properly and cold, the spinach had not been cooked and the Hollandaise sauce we ordered on the side would... If you're into fine cheeses, chutneys, jams or anything good and tasty this is a must, cannot go to the Hunter Valley without visiting here, spent a fortune but worth every penny.

Having planned to stop for lunch, we arrived to find no body sitting at tables, no staff visible, no menu anywhere and just a solitary chalkboard advertising banana bread. Was the place open? It was difficult to tell at 12.30!

Hi Sue, thanks for providing feedback, as you would have seen our cafe is in a beautiful setting with tables inside and out overlooking bushland and water, perhaps your wait person was outside at the time of your visit - we were certainly open:-) Our menu is located at the service counter and is handed out as we welcome our... Just very average - but the main reason I will never go back and why I would steer everyone else away is that they do not use free range eggs. For a cafe that lauds its quality regional produce, in a region that is known for food, it just amazes me that they do not care about the welfare of... More

Very disappointed with our visit here this time. No the variety that was once available and the staff seem a bit disinterested in you having a good experience. It all seemed a bit tired
