After a nice relaxing drive up from Sydney for a weekend in the Hunter Valley My Wife and I decided to stop in for a quick coffee at Petersons. From the exterior of the property the buildings and grounds looked very inviting and on entry to the restaurant my wife and I were greeted by a very pleasant male waiter... More

After several delightful meals over a four year period, we have been let down. To be fair, the entrees were excellent and the Bruschetta deserves a special mention. But it was all down hill from there. The steaks were very tough and lacked any redeeming flavour. The barramundi was left with a soggy skin although the accompanying salads were quite... More

The cappuccino was flat with no froth - bad start to the breakfast, though admittedly the complimentary canapé of muesli was an original touch. The breakfast was greasy and your ordinary fair, nothing to make a special trip for. The service was a little on the longer wait side but the views were nice. Overall, underwhelming.

The food here is fabulous, visited for breakfast and had the banana pancakes but couldn't eat them all.

Family meeting for breakfast- beautiful setting in a lovely restaurant looking out over the vineyards. We had two small boys with us, but this was no problem for staff. A number of high hairs were available and kids menus were presented to us. The food was freshly prepared and quite delicious. Staff were helpful, attentive and courteous ( one was... More

We had a good breakfast here, everything as expected but no 'extra' ... service or food. Small issue with the waiter not listening, but fine. Not however a must stop. If you go on the weekend it is packed and definitely book. The full restaurant is quite noisy.

Freezing cold, draughty inside, no staff came to attend to us once we were seated, no one to top up our water, no one came for ages to take any orders. One stingy bread roll was plonked onto our plates about 30 minutes in....then nothing, I mean nothing for about 40 minutes. This was a lunch for 30 people and... More

Have been to Peterson's for breakfast several times and have always enjoyed our dining experience. Great location either on your way into the Hunter Valley or before heading home.

We were booked in for Sunday brunch for 14 people. Our table was not ready when we arrived for our booking and we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. There is a good selection of food on the menu but the service is slow. All of the meals including bacon were served about 15 minutes after the others... More

We had a bubbly breakfast ( we can tick that off our bucket list now) at this lovely restaurant in the Hunter Valley. When we arrived for breakfast it was quite busy so we had a little wait before we were served, to sip our bubbly. The breakfast when it arrived was a delight for the eyes and the taste... More
