Almost great

Lovely location and interesting iron cottage made a welcoming arrival at Racine. Menu is unusual with choices from a large selection that can be entree or main. We had some very nice bread presented to Us but after 10 minutes had to ask the maitre d, who was flitting around listening to the... read more

The food here is unbelievable. Orange has come a long way since I left a decade ago. I would recommend eating at Racine to anyone, as long as they do not mind paying a high price for exceptional food.

One of those nights when it's tipping down and you wonder if it's really worth going out. Well it was was and although we had a lovely lunch this was superb. Quiet so you could have a normal conversation. They played something a bit loud but turned it down when we asked. Attentive informed staff. Understated food that had amazing... More

We were so excited to go out here, but left feeling quite unimpressed. On arrival we were seated right in the middle of the thoroughfare near the bar. The place was near empty (and did not fill up), with so many more intimate places for a couple to be seated. We had the pleasure of watching every person walk in... More

The moment we walked in we were overwhelmed by the noise of the music piped through the big spaces. The tables were very close together and I couldn't get comfy on the bench seat. We were forced to choose between the 2 course and the 3 course menu and order our desserts with our entree and main courses. My entree... More

A warm welcome is always assured at this fine dining establishment overlooking the vineyards of La Colline. Marvin always casts a watchful eye over clients so that none of them need wait for service. The food is delicious and always presented in an original and exciting fashion. A charming city respite.

Had the trout. Very small serves, in fact it looked like an entrée, crossed with a clear salty soup: with a piece of fish in it. Interesting deconstructed dessert: one of apple, one of lemon. I did not mind the apple, but the lemon was just too much lemon. Looked impressive, but I don't think it was good value. Would... More

The servings are quite small and i do lust for more but its just one of those restaurants. The location is also spectacular. Ime of the best... More

What a fantastic view! Friendly staff and a reasonably priced wine list. The Amuse-Bouche and petit fours are delightful extras. Their homemade bread is scrumptious. An all round great experience. Worth the drive.

Booked this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary because we knew it would be good.Decided on the three-course selection with matching wines. The Blue Eye Cod & the Trout were differently the stars of the courses. Beautiful flavours & perfectly cooked. The only hiccup was my meat dish was very chewing. My wife's desert blew her away. The wine match was perfect.... More
