Eat by the beach

Great place for a casual meal. Right on the beach at Stockton. Have been there several times. Food is good. Good for large or small get togethers.

Awesome coffee and very nice food. Located right on the beach, it does make for a great brekky spot.

Like the previous reviewer I'm reviewing Lexie's On The Beach at Stockton. The photo above is of Lexie's On The Beach, and clicking on the website link takes you to their website. I don't know if there's one on King Street in Newcastle or not. Our experience at Lexie's On The Beach at Stockton was frankly a bit odd. The... More

Now I am slightly confused. The web site directs you to a photo of Lexie's on the Beach at Stockton, which is where we went. I am giving a review for Lexie's on the Beach. The restaurant is right beside the surf club on one side and the caravan park on the other. atmosphere is typical beach cafe - lots... More

Very nice people work here. There is another location in Stockton where we met the owner. She switched us on to her other cafe on King. It's a casual atmosphere where the locals go. That in its self says a lot.

Called in here to try breakfast on a quiet weekday morning. The menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner looked quite interesting, with many tempting items. Very friendly service, nice coffee, but our eggs were overcooked and firm, so disappointing for a basic item. I am willing to return and try again.

It was a last minute decision to call in a have some breakfast.....I wish we hadn't! Although the coffee was nice, my poached eggs on toast were rock hard, with one slice of white and one slice of brown bread ( must be a new trend in Newcastle ! ) presented on a plate without any garnish of any kind!... This cafe has changed hands in recent weeks and Lexie's at Merewether beach have taken over. I have to admit that the improvements to the menu are effective. I had a chicken caesar salad which was excellent, though my partner's schnitzel burger was less appetizing. I'll definitely return, next time to try the coffee.
