Went for lunch with friends, sat overlooking the river which was very scenic. Meal was fantastic. Had the chicken schnitzel and the others had chicken salads and pumpkin salads, fantastic meals all of them. Staff efficient and attentive, I and my friends will be back.

Shared brunch with a group of girlfriends. The outside area was clean and very welcoming. I must say the best tasting coffee I have had in a long time, the meals were very generous in size. Great menu variety. The staff very friendly and accommodating.

Meg closed this and sole food Lorn and re-located to 227 Hunter Street Newcastle in May 2013. This building now has a cafe of a similar name, but it is not Tapas and it is not open nights. I am not too sure were the last couple of reviewers thought that they were???

Took the family here for a brunch and was quite shocked by the experience had heard some bad reports about the tapas bar next door but got a shock with the café experience. Staff were friendly gave the kids some books and shared a joke or two. Great view of the hunter river and meal was plentiful tasty and good... More

My son and I had lunch here, and although we had no expectations, we both agreed a return visit would be unlikely. Despite the wonderful service, the food was very ordinary. Terrible coffee.

We have eaten at a lot of tapas bars and looked forward to experiencing tapas in Maitland, the wait staff were great, food was served quickly, but unfortunatelythe food was bland, overly simple , and they explained to us that all portions were for three so they would have to add an extra portion to each meal as we had... I had lunch here today with a friend. I love tapas and Spanish food and spent time travelling in Spain. The food was yummy but the whole place lacked the Spanish atmosphere. There was a small tapas menu but no other options. I think with the Maitland market, perhaps more food options and main meals or a quick lunch menu... More

I think the number one rule should be NEVER have tapas outside of Spain. I dont understand what is difficult about serving up tasty morsels. The organic local wine and beers are a nice touch. But overall it lacked generousity, atmosphere and the spirit of tapas.

Need more restaurants in Maitland so was very excited when it opened. Visited not long after opening and thought the food was OK. Tables definately small, would be nice to see out the back. Thought the pork belly could use a bit more colour. Love that they are focusing on local organic produce and beverages. Hopefully will improve with time.... More
