Good service

Stayed here for business and had dinner with some colleagues. I had the asian style soup special which was tasty and an authentic coconut chicken style. Main I had scotch fillet which was covered in a mushroom gravy which was too thick and spoilt the meal. Underneath the steak was mash potato... read more

I have a real soft spot for pork belly and got excited when I saw it on the menu. I definitely got excited for nothing. There was a huge chunk of flavourless "twice cooked" pork, the skin (no crackling on it) was chewy, tough and dry. I couldn't cut through the meat. There was crackling on the side, I assume... More

We were staying elsewhere but had dinner here. Most Excellent. My son had some of the best lamb cutlets ever - very tender and succulent. My wife's steak was done to perfection and I had the chicken which was very moist. Very good, simple food that fulls you up after a long day travelling.

After travelling for 7 hours in the car to make Dubbo, we contacted the Cattleman's to see if 1, they had any rooms and 2, if the restaurant would be open. After being told we could get a room I was transferred upstairs to the restaurant and although we would be getting in just on closing they agreed to stay... More

A little training is needed here. We arrived and were given a table, had this changed to another, and ended up on a third table. Menu was good, food great but the service let the place down. All staff were most pleasant and friendly but it took forever to get our main course, and nearly an hour from when we... More

Ordered two rib eye steaks by the award winning apparent chef. Didn't expect a big bone through the cut (although av to say menu didn't say it would be a fillet). Very disappointed as we ordered well done with pepper sauce. No pepper sauce on either steaks and my steak was not well done. Wouldn't say award winning and no... More

We dined here tonight & glad we did. Had a quick drink in the bar before going to our table . Great service by the waitresses as it was quite busy & all of our meals were delicious . Loved the chicken/ prawns & garlic sauce. Veggies were cooked perfect too. Will be back !

Half the things on the menu simply not available. When we did get served half the said ingredients were missing off the plate. No Ice at 6:00pm in the bar and with no drinks of any kind in the room fridge this was embarrassing.
